Madness Has Descended Upon Us – 1 Way Only – Cut it Out!

In a previous post i wrote of being M.A.D., Manifesting an Abundant Destiny.

Unfortunately, it did not seem to be understood as there is a wave of madness that seems to be sweeping across the globe.

People are so damn angry for all of the externals that seem to be plaguing them. Yesterday, there was even a Twitter hashtag for what makes people mad in general.

What is happening here?

Has the whole world descended into a cycle of madness? I am of the mindset to believe so.

You see, you cannot Manifest an Abundant Destiny if you are angry at life for all of the mistreatment it is seemingly giving you. My father once said to me that “Life does not owe you a living” but it seems that we are of the mindset that it indeed does.

We have raised a culture that seems to think that they are entitled to everything, whenever they damn well feel they want it. Every one desires instant fixes to this and that and instant riches, as was the recent infatuation with the mega lottery as of late.

Many seem to rail against the rich, but it damn well looks as if many desire to be there among them.

Do you know why that is? it is our Universal nature to be expansive and abundant creatures. While many equate that with money, it really goes to the heart of all abundance. it is a condition of the heart that manifest itself on the outside of our life journey.

There is Only One Way

I typically give 3 ways to look at a situation within that makes you think a different way, but i am inclined to break my pattern here as it really comes down to one way alone.

Way 1: The Only Way – Choose Differently and Cut it Out!

Just stop being so damn mad and angry about everything. Stop being railroaded by the media, by friends, by family, by social media, etc, that takes you into the depths of lower consciousness thinking.

You see, anger and being mad calibrates at such a lower level of existence on the consciousness scale that that it is actually a step back from a societal evolution standpoint.

If we continue to buy into the thinking that we are to always comment and add our opinion  to fuel the anger of those involved, then we are simply buying into the thinking that we have some importance.

It is the case of the ego running amuck in society

There is only one way to change it all. Everyone needs to step back, make a decision that they are to add value to the world and CHOOSE to live differently.

Be the agent of change that speaks not to a situation, but to the hearts of those who are within in it. We are all one and when you treat your brother or sister in the journey with a hatred in any way by choosing anger and being generally mad about everything, you are doing so essentially to yourself.

There is only one way.

Choose to be different. From there, all manifesting can then then occur. make a decision to not be so damn angry and mad about everything for the world can truly change one soul at a time.

Be the one that simply talks with a heart of love.

Live free of the emotions that are sought to steer you in a different direction than is your abundant nature. We are free to choose. Choose an Abundant Life through peace, love and joy. From there, all living truly begins.

The Complaining Heart: 3 Ways to Change Your Focus

I sit at my favorite coffee shop and i listen  to the “Old Men’s Club” as they term themselves, as they talk of the ways of the world but, in reality, they sit and complain. They complain about the weather, the government, their ailments and everything in between.

It is amazing how they talk themselves into sickness, into getting riled up and into complaining in general. Why is it that we find the necessity to complain about things? What is it within that desires to be that person that complains about everything?

Do you like that person within?

The ego sets itself up as the complainer-of-merit as the one who desires to maintain a sense of importance in the world when it seeks, with a vengeance, to maintain its superiority by complaining about everything and seemingly has the answers to go along with it.

We have all been there. We complain about something and then offer up not only the solution, but our frustration that it it hasn’t been done as to our specifications. Why of the world would run as we say, then wouldn’t everything be just dandy?

Would it?

Here are some pretty great quotes on the nature of complaining.

Man spends his life in reasoning on the past, in complaining of the present, in fearing future.
Antoine Rivarol

The tendency to whining and complaining may be taken as the surest sign symptom of little souls and inferior intellects.
Lord Jeffrey

Do not listen to those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious.
Og Mandino

and one of my favorites…

Instead of complaining that the rosebush is full of thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

~ Proverb

You see, essentially, it is about a change of focus. You have to look at the world in a different light instead of seeing it for what it is not.

3 Ways to See the World With More Beauty

I equate complaining with gossiping because the two go hand-in-hand. More often than not, complaining is very personal in nature and it is nothing more than the ego asserting itself as greater than the one who is the object of complaining.

Way 1: Understand that Life is What You Make of It

By complaining about anything; sickness, others conduct, basic dissatisfaction of the world, you bring more of that into your environment. I most recently saw it in the very essence of the Old Men’s Club when one got sick, they all complained about it, and then most of the others aligned the sickness within them as well.

They invited the sickness in as i am one who believe that we do indeed do so. Sickness is an abnormal state and if you really notice, complainers get sick more readily than people who are not prone to be as such.

Just an observation.

Way 2: Understand That All Are On Their Own Journey

It is not that we are not to try to right the world as we know we can, but as the old expression goes, “charity begins at home”. We must understand that we are on our own journey and others are as well. When you complain about others, gossip in a sense, you are just taking time away from the aspects of your journey that need attention.

Let others alone and allow them to take their own journey and, if need be, be a light in the dark for them.

Way 3: See the World From a Different Perspective

Turn off the news. Shut out the noise. Become the you that becomes a better citizen of the world. See the greatness in the possibilities of living at a higher level of consciousness. When others see the bad of situations and others in a negative light, become the one who sees the better nature of the world-at-large.

It is a decision and one that the ego will fight you on but the more you become a better Universal Citizen, the focus of the world will change for you.

It is all about the journey within that stops complaining in its tracks. Become conscious on a higher level and begin here to become a better soul. We can’t change the world unless we first look within.

Are You M.A.D.? 3 Ways You Should Always Be

Living in a perpetual state of being mad seems to be the place of many souls on this journey and it seems odd for me to encourage such a state.

Being mad can mean many states, did you know that? The actual definition of the word here can mean anything from being insane to actually being crazy about something; very excited, if you will.

In these days, it seems that many are perpetually looking for a reason to be upset and mad about life, about the country in which they live, about their condition, about their relationships… and the list goes on.

The ego plays a large part in that, as it is nothing but a protected of you, or so it tells you. It is always looking for a reason to be pissed about something, but to truly live an excellent life, madness must become different.

Let’s Always Be M.A.D.

Admittedly, i have been playing with you here. Yes, being mad is a state of mind and that state should actually be encouraged in another way. You see, being M.A.D. as the way i define it, is to always be Manifesting (an) Abundant Destiny.

It is not only your mission to be M.A.D. but it is as the Universe has so designed us to be. To constantly be manifesting an abundant destiny is to truly live the life that we are all capable of doing, but so few have decided they can not have for whatever reason.

3 Ways to Begin to be M.A.D.

Way 1: Decide First that Abundance is a State of Mind

You see, it begins in the mind that we are abundant creatures deserving of an abundant existence. Life is too short to think you don’t deserve the best state of mind that is your continued existence. The first prerequisite to Manifesting an Abundant Destiny is to always understand that it is within you as you must know that you are always abundant.

Don’t get caught in the egoic trap of your surroundings dictating to you your mindset. Just because your immediate surroundings may not have the toys of the world that are supposed to indicate an abundant state, believe me they are only an extension thereof.

Recently, there was a big lottery that millions desired to win. I literally mean, millions, as many who usually decided against playing the lottery, now decided to get in on the action.

Now for a country that is supposedly against the “rich”, as the media has droned on about, and the way being rich is used as a political football as class-warfare is the tool of the day, it seems a lot desire to be there, doesn’t it?

But don’t be deluded in thinking that money is abundance. It all begins within. Why do you think people like Donald trump who was millions in debt in the 90’s, turned it around to become the billionaire he is now?

It is about a mindset first, always.

Way 2: Know that You Are Not Your Present Conditions

As was said, it is easy to get in a trap that says your current situation or surroundings are your abundance. In Manifesting an Abundant Destiny, you are to be all about living in the knowledge that life is as magnificent as you decide to make it.

One of the richest persons in modern times was certainly Mother Theresa. She gave with such an abundant mindset, that it affected everyone she ever met. People were drawn to her because of the Manifesting Abundant Destiny she lived in the service to the poor in Calcutta and everywhere she went.

Her abundance was her service but she did so with a heart that was only abundance.

You, too, are of the same star stuff as Mother Theresa and are abundant beyond your nature. Live it for that is the Universal Way.

Way 3: Go Beyond Yourself to See Your Abundance Become Manifest

The best way to always be Manifesting an Abundant Destiny is to live with others in mind. If you are constantly giving yourself away and looking for opportunities to become the face of abundance, then you will become it in ways you may never fully comprehend.

Look for ways to live your abundance. Pay for the food of the driver behind you in the drive-thru. Be of service. Love the skin you are in by loving the skin of others even more.

We are all the same no matter what the color of skin or the nationalities that separate us. The Universe makes no mistakes and we are all here to be always Manifesting an Abundant Destiny.

It is the mission to share of ourselves in the process.

The Journey of Worry: 3 Ways to Understand How it Undermines You

How is it that souls of love that we are all truly destined to become, have allowed this fear of living, fear of life to pervade our very existence? It is my belief that worry is the one place within us that seems to infect every aspect of our beings.

Let me come at it in a different way than most would.

Worry is that common emotion of the soul that has no place ever within us, yet we excuse it in ourselves and find it repugnant in every one else.

How often do we tell someone else not to worry, when that is our inclination to do so?

It is almost as if we are expected to worry about life in so many ways and if we don’t we are called “flighty” or “cold-hearted” or we are irresponsible in some way. Imagine that, the very act of NOT worrying and staying true to who you are makes you irresponsible in the eyes of some.

Can you imagine if you decided to travel the world and, because you set out on a journey of self discovery, you are labeled as irresponsible. Isn’t that the height of responsibility in and of itself? Isn’t the very act of discovering yourself mean you become a better person of love for the human condition.

If you find yourself living is such fear as to not make that journey, then merely look at the program, The Amazing Race, where teams travel around the world in a short amount of time. What most take from the race is the journey within that transforms them and their relationships with not only one another, but with humanity.

By seeing other cultures and participating in tasks that many times test their assumptions about themselves, the individuals find that their fear of truly living was baseless. That their worry about life, in general, was nothing more than the ego’s attempt to “protect” them.

Protect them from what? Not sure but the ego is constantly telling you and showing you, often based in nothing, what to worry about.

3 Ways to Understand How Worry Impacts your Journey

Worry is so baseless that it cripples us from truly living life. The sad fact is that society breeds that fear from childhood on. Oh, I’m not saying that we aren’t to be aware of our surroundings but we are not to live in a constant state of “what if” this or that happens.

Way 1: The “What-If’s” of Life

The ego can play out a scenario to its end based on a “what if” situation so compelling that you may actually believe it. Sometimes even so much as to manifest the very worry the ego has so cleverly ‘what if’ed” so the ego can say to you, “See, i told you so.” Then once the ego has you there, you actually feel guilt about not worrying.

Do you see the insidiousness of worry?

Way 2: Worry of Others via the Ego

There is another component of worry that really is at the core of worry to begin with. The ego masks it as “making sure you are good with yourself.” It is the “What others think of me and my decisions” thought pattern as a guide for living truth in your life that is your journey alone.

Yes, we impact others with our lives, that is the very nature of living, but if you come from a place of truth, from a place of love, then there seldom will a worry be a concern of how you impact others.

The very thought that your belief that others thoughts, that you assign to them, about you, are somehow a determinant for living your life is bizarre.

However, It happens all the time.

Way 3: The Present Moment is Always Sacrificed on the Altar of Worry

The Present Moment is never the friend of worry and the ego goes to great lengths to make sure that it is not involved in any way in the process. Understand that living in the moment means that you give away your thoughts to a greater power.

There is a release factor that must take place and trust me, when you truly start to live in this arena, the slings and arrows will fly at you from every corner as one who doesn’t “take life seriously”.

This is the insidiousness of worry and how it has become so prevalent within our modern-day society. We are almost expected to sacrifice the present moment to the altar of worry. This is a trap far too many fall into but you can decide not to take the journey.

In the end, life will meet you in the most uncommon of places when you release the worry-demon that tries to infect your living.

Your pursuit of excellence is to not allow it to happen.

The Joy is in The Journey of Abundance: 3 Ways to Bring Back Joy

It is funny how most seem to look at abundance, be it financial or abundance of the mind, body or spirit, as this drudgery of existence. Especially when it comes to the financial abundance, as it plays such a role in our daily existence, abundance seems to be not so much a life style but a game of some sorts that is won or lost on a daily basis.

It is as if we are keeping constant score when it comes to abundance, and whats worse, we measure ourselves against others as a way that we keep score.

Just the other day, i was talking with a client who struggle with the negativity of money, as i like to call it. Almost every session in which we meet, she gets to the discussion of money and usually with a very angry disposition. But just when i get her to get to release some of the anger, her ego then tells her that she is to measure herself and her situation once again when she makes the statement of how at least she has a roof over her head. That people are hungry somewhere and that she at least has food and shelter.

I just looked at her and said, “So what?”

Somewhat incredulous she began to defend her abundance that she had with almost a pitiful demeanor. You see, it is this overwhelming guilt that has somehow been instilled in us to put down any abundance whatsoever. It is as if we have to justify our abundance against others who may not seemingly have enough.

You see, anytime we compare, we judge. And in judgment, there is a closing of the allowing of abundance into our awareness. It is the ego at work to make sure you are humble, as taught, or that you make sure you keep all that you are entitled to. Either way, we shut off the truth of abundance in our own lives.

One of the most inane statements that i have struggled with is the one where someone looks at another and says, “There by the grace of God go I.”

Well, to say that statement is as much crap as one could imagine and to truly understand why is to finally have a moment of true release for your own abundance.

You see, i have found that what is really meant by that statement for most, and for the egoic mindset, is, “Look at that pitiful bastard. I am glad i am not them because i am way better off than that.” Essentially, what you are saying is that, when i look someone who seems on the outside not as well of as i am, then i am comparing myself to them and i am better in my situation. Yea for me.

What makes this statement so hideous is that you bring Grace into it and drag God as well. I mean, how could anyone say anything against that, right?

Well, it looks like someone did.

3 Ways to Bring Back Joy Into Abundance

Abundance of any kind should simply be a joyful journey and it is this mindset that takes into comparisons and makes it always a game of some kind. The journey then becomes like a reality TV program where we are constantly aligning ourselves with individuals that advance us or seem to be competing in some task that gives us immunity from being voted off the island.

So the journey then becomes to shift our mindset from a game aspect to more of an internal joy mindset.

Way 1: Understand That We are Not Dependent on Others for Our Abundance

This is one of the biggest hurdles to get over as most believe that abundance comes to them instead of flowing from them that then draws the appearances of abundance into their realm. Abundance is always an inside job and the more you understand yourself, the more abundance will flow to you with no struggle at all.

It is up to you to find that part of you that gives you the freedom to allow abundance to flow and to release yourself to it. The hard part is getting out of your own way and ceasing the ego’s influence into your life. Joy comes from this release that you are not dependent on others for all abundance comes from within.

It is a decision and a release that allows the abundance to become your reality.

Way 2: You Must Give Your Abundance Away

This is a hard one for most in that the very idea of giving away something that they “struggled for” is daunting. Remember, abundance is first a mindset and the joy from abundance comes from giving your joy away for others to see.

It is a principle in most financial planning programs that a certain amount of your financial abundance is to be given away. While it is usually put at a percentage, which is a start, true release of abundance could never truly be given a definitive percentage or amount in dollars. Giving yourself away is a truth of most spiritual disciplines and is a Universal concept that gives you a feeling of release in ways you can only experience for yourself.

A prime example of this is in the popular TV program, Hoarders. If you haven’t seen it, this program centers on souls who have a predisposition to hoarding things because they sense a comfort of some sorts. But at its core, it is a sickness and usually denigrates the person to lows that affect all around them.

The funny thing is that many are the same way with their abundance. They hoard it because of the fear of losing something, but, in reality, the more you give away, the more you gain.

It is a Universal Law.

Way 3: Understand That in Every Situation There is an Abundance Opportunity

We get caught up in money and most get so involved with making sure of not losing their money that they fail to see opportunity to be a soul of abundance. It is not always about the money but it is about the opportunity to be that soul of joy that seems to emote abundance in every way.

You see, it goes back to the mindset that is abundance. When you get out of your way when it comes abundance and allow it to just flow to you, there is no way that you can’t find a way to speak  with an abundant frame of mind. Life becomes opportunities to be joyful in abundance in the way you speak, the way you interact and in the way you are with your money.

In the end, money will never be how you are remembered. It will always be the joy you brought into the lives of others.

Money comes and goes, joy is eternal.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Why Do You Do The Things You Do? 3 Ways To Relieve The Stress of Life

Life is filled with one reaction after another. Everything seems to be stressful and the aspect of ‘flying off the handle’ or ‘having a knee-jerk reaction’ to something seems to be fairly acceptable these days. Well, if happens too often, we can always get a pill prescribed as seems to be the way in these stressful times..

But really there seems to be a heart condition that is far more spiritual, in nature, than is physical. Although, it has been proven that our stress of being reactive to every thing can, indeed, lead to physical ailments.

What, then, is at the heart of such a rapid decline of civility within ourselves that translates outward into our reality? Why do we find ways to be insulted and grouped together in our victimization?

Is it that we really desire that connection, even if it is through stress of living? Maybe technology has spread us out so far and wide that it is difficult to truly be connected as we are designed to be, one heart to another.

You know, where i sit and write often, there is a group of older, retired men that sit in the local coffee shop and, together, they solve the town’s, country’s and even the world’s challenges in a matter of minutes over a nice cup of coffee.

These men sit together and are seemingly unconnected, except through the coffee club that has connected them. Yet it seems as if there is a peaceful connection that they bring to the restaurant and to each other that cannot be spoken. It is a place of peace within them.

While it is fascinating to hear them as they solve the crisis of the world, there seems to be a far-reaching truth here; the connection that binds them is a connection of the heart and therein lies the truth to a stress-free existence.

Now, some would indeed argue that often relationships are the source of all stress, but i am of the mindset that the relationships that are truly bound together are seldom built on verbal discourse, but of a heart-to-heart connection that is at its source, the place where stress is seldom experienced.

3 Ways to Relieve the Stress of Life

Think about a relationship with a pet. Never words are spoken, but there is a connection that transcends words and lives within the spirit, does it not?Does it not relieve a stress within you?

Way 1: Understand Your Part in the Stream of Life

Now i am certainly not going to sit here and tell you to ‘buck up’ and not to experience life in the ways it is to be experienced, but i am here to lead you to a new reality of your part in the stream of life.

Nothing happens to you as life is not out to get you.

It s easy to get caught up in being a victim to circumstances, to people, to the challenges that seem to surround you on a daily basis.

But, quite frankly, its not them (not life), it’s you. Most have experienced those little words in terms of a relationship gone awry, but it is time for you to say it to life, “it’s not you, it’s me.”

You see, when you can back off and understand that you, and only you, are the responsible party when it comes to living life in the fullness that is our mission in which to do, life becomes a sweeter version of itself.

Life does not happen to you, you are the captain that steers the course. Yes, often times storms can seem to take us away from our course, but if we release the ego and take back the helm from being a victim, we can command the ship return to the designated course that has been designed for us.

You are still here and therefore your course is still as viable as ever.

Way 2: Find Your Happy Place

It has become quite a cliche that we have a ‘Happy Place’ that we go to in times to conflict, but understand that there is a place that many do retreat to that seems to manifest on the external, often times in ways that seem detrimental such as drugs, alcohol, and unhealthy relationships, just to name a few.

However, these things are just an extension of the internal desire to find that place of bliss that is our inner core of peace. Really, then, it comes down to the questions we ask at this point.

What is the external seeking to manifest from within?
What is the stillness that must be found within that gives me peace on the outside?

Where is that place within me that is my calm?

There is a danger here to give another that power which you must resist. Understand that the person or place or thing that you associate with your happiness factor is an extension of something within.

Really sit and source it out for yourself, for at the heart of that understanding is the key to living stress-free.

Way 3: Release Yourself to the Moment of Now

Life happens now and at the source of most stress are the future events that are supposed to happen in some perfect completion or some past that did not happen as planned and is now infecting your Now Moment existence.

This existence of Now is your Happy Place as you are here, are you not? Anything that was supposed to cause you some type of dire consequences has not kept you from this Now Moment. There is nothing that the past supposedly was matters to this exact Now Moment. There is no future as of yet that can not be dealt with.

Ask, “What is the worse that can happen?” if you must, and find a place in this Now Moment to live free of it all, because whether you know it or not, you already are doing so.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of your surroundings. Meditate silently in the conversations of those around you and just listen to the way they speak, the way they reflect as they speak. Notice the nuances of every little action and reaction for when you become ever-present in the Now Moments of life, there is little left for the stress of what should or might be or has been.

Live, now, free of the reactions of living and become the action of living free within yourself. For here alone, is the place of peace that transcends into a life of serenity.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Until then…

The Battle Within; Why Do We Fight Ourselves – 3 Ways to Balance Our Life Approach

There is a duality within us all that we fail to embrace that will, ultimately destroy us if not dealt with.

The duality is constant fodder for TV and movies in the way of good and evil, Yin and Yang, and our male and feminine side, among other things. It is this duality that ‘keeps us in line’ or keeps us from stepping on toes so we can have a life full of no hassle.

But is that a way to truly live?

This is what we have been taught by parents, the way we have been schooled and the way our laws are designed all in the name of a harmonious existence as a society.

While i am not here to debate the nuances of the way societies are structured, i am on a mission to embrace the inner dynamic that allows us to function and it is this inner conflict, that if fully embraced, would have a far-reaching effect on the very fabric of society.

If every soul attempted to embrace the duality that we are endowed with, quite frankly many of our laws would become obsolete. Many of the scriptural references make mention to the fact that there is a certain aspect of our nature that is written upon our heart, essentially we know all we need to know to function without senseless laws that seek to control us.

In other words, we are endowed by our creator to know the way but it is when we release ourselves to the egoic tendencies that we then tend to become more at war than in balance with life and within ourselves.

What is it that pulls us? While that is a different question for most, it is a question that must be asked.

Again, just look at reality shows, and while most scoff at their heighten attempt at drama, it is a compressed look at the nature of souls when put in certain conditions that allow the process to unfold in a way that is all of our natures.

There is a battle that wages, but it need not be. It is like we are constantly bargaining within ourselves for a certain percentage of the company so that one part can retain control over the other.

3 Ways to Begin the Process of Alignment Within

Way 1: Embrace the Emotions

I lose many men here as men, by and large, have been taught that emotions are not the realm of ‘real men’. That emotions make us weak and that we are to ‘power through’ them and ‘man up’.

Have i used enough cliches here?

This is a fairly dynamic aspect of the unification process as there is a certain aspect of your nature that must me expressed emotionally; be it happiness or sadness or frustration or whatever else we experience within. It is when we bury these feelings that we become detached from that balance.

Now, notice i said to embrace them. They are nothing more than guideposts to the truth that the emotions are hiding. That truth that is the real you that seeks a way out through the balance within.

Acknowledge that they are there. Respect them for showing you the way and then look to the way they are pointing. They are the off-ramps for the truth. Allow them to lead you for t is when you pull off within the emotions that cause you to go astray.

Get past them and see the truth they obscure.

Way 2: Understand that Life is a Moving Target

Where many get caught up is in the granite-like approach they seem to take to life. There is right and wrong, good and bad, and this way and that way and , my favorite, my way or the highway. Of course no one ever explained where that highway would lead one.

More importantly, within the very framework of this approach, seems to be an ever-increasing amount of judgement that seems to come along with this way of thinking.

Shakespeare penned in Act 1, Scene 3 of Macbeth, “This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.”

What is true for you, may not be another’s truth. That does not make it good or bad, right or wrong, it just is what it is. If nothing else, if we live life as our own truth, others will respect it and desire to model it.

More importantly, when we reside in our own life of inner balance there comes naturally a peace that many see in you, but, more importantly, you see in the way you now live. When you live within your own truth, you are on the journey of a life of balance.

Way 3: Understand That in any Situation, Lead, Follow or Get Out of the Way, is the Answer

In an given situation, we must understand that if we are in a state of balance and awareness of who we are, there are situations that we do indeed lead. But in other situations, we follow, not with a spirit of anger for not leading, but because we can because of our inner truth.

We know when we are able to become a driving force and when we need to simply become a team player. And, more importantly, we know when to get out of the way. The key here is not allow the ego to become involved in such a way so as to assert itself as the one who should always lead.

A soul with a sense of inner peace knows the exact moments to become the Yin to anothers Yang but it is only from a sense of inner balance.

This is a process, but all stems from within.

Begin the journey, if you have not already, for life awaits you. You await you.
