Bring Yourself to The Forefront – 3 Ways To Recognize Your Uniqueness

At the core of bringing yourself to the forefront and recognizing your unique abilities seems to be an egoic way to be number one in your world, but nothing could be further from the truth.

We are all given a unique focus to bring to the world. It is our gift to the world from the Universe. The challenge is that most don’t think themselves worthy of doing so or being uniquely inspired to be that gift.

Be it someone who has told you that you were not worthy or important or that what you had to offer was not significant to our modern society, whatever that means, it is up to you to push aside all of the useless words that others have decided or directed to you and become the greatness that the Universe desires of you. It is your obligation for if you are still here you have a purpose.

What the Duck is Going on Here?

I recently watched in amusement a new series on A&E called Duck Dynasty about a family that has become millionaires by making duck calling thingys.

Really, i am not kidding! It is quite a show and i am always fascinated by the achievement of those who most would dismiss by making a judgement based on preconceived notions of what success should look like. What comes through in this family that seems as if they are anything but millionaires, is that there is a love for who they are as individuals and a love for what they do and are here to do.

3 Ways to Recognize Your Uniqueness

It really is quite interesting and it proves my bigger point. We are all given a destiny and we are to live it with as much grace and style as the Universe demands, for it does indeed encourage us to do so. We are to allow our uniqueness to shine so that we are that expansion of life that creates a way for others to expand as well.

Way 1: Understand That You Are Not at the Behest of Others

We allow ourselves to be less than the Universe has given us to be due to the opinions and egos of others who often seem as if they have your best interest at heart. We allow our true selves to be buried under a slab of cement to appease and allow others who obviously “know more” to be “right”. But, like a blade of grass under the cement, we must reach for the sun and at some time when the cement starts to crack and give way, our true natures poke through and we experience the freedom of being our authentic selves.

You see it all the time and it is the stuff Hollywood movies are made of; The person that goes into the family business only to discover that they are that blade of grass. When they discover their truth, they are truly free.

Way 2: To Understand Your Destiny, Understand Yourself

This is the dwelling ground of the ego in so many ways. The ego would have you not to be authentic for it is in this place of truth that you don’t really need it to keep you grounded.

You see, maybe the best experience you could do is to allow yourself to fully explore the fullness of your truth. Really grasp the way you could change the world because you can if not but within yourself first. For you see, the world is a better place when you are in a better place within.

The possibilities open up and life unfolds in the most unexpected way when you do. Live the truth that is your uniqueness and the Universe will respond. It is a Universal law.

Way 3: Don’t Hide Your Uniqueness. Live it.

This is the fullness of life in a nutshell. If you have discovered your truth, your uniqueness, then it is your mission to live it to the fullness that the world will allow.

And it will!

The truth of who you are is in the very essence of the larger truth of the Universal Stream of Consciousness. It is the way of God in that we are here to fulfill our mission in such a way that it inspires others to be creative and expansive as well.

I recently saw a video of a police officer ordering at some fast food place moments before the officer was sadly killed in the line of duty. But what was interesting about the video was the conversation the officer was having with a young boy who approached him and struck up a conversation with him.

The video was really about the young boys takeaway from what the officer was saying to him about being an achiever in life. The officer was being a genuine person who happened to be wearing a uniform, not some police officer who was looking for some evil intent in others actions.

The young boy’s life was changed in a moment and maybe that officer, as tragic as was his death, lived the fullest extent of the Universal Way by putting the idea of expansion into the mind of a youngster whose life was forever changed.

Live your uniqueness and become the way that others are inspired to do so as well. Therein lies the beauty of a life well lived.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Until then…

The Suckiness of Fear: 3 Ways to Abate Fear Within You

OK, i get it…Suckiness is not really a word, but it should be, right?

There is really nothing else i can say that coveys my disdain for the very aspect of fear within our lives. We are taught it. It is held up as a teacher, as a guide to give us the right way to live.

Blah, blah, blah…

We fear everything, it seems, and most of the time the ego has so got a hold on us that we cannot truly live our lives in the joy that is intended as the cool creatures that we are.

Why is that?

There is a whole industry in the self-improvement arena that focuses on ‘facing your fears’. I’m all for that, but the depth of that is far deeper in that there is a truth to be told that instigates the fear itself.

Why does it exist and why have you allowed it to so control you very existence.

I have heard people tell me that they fear death. How do they know? What is it about death that seems to cause people to change the way they live their lives?

It is like when your parents told you to watch out for traffic when you were little because a car could kill you. Well, true, and it is healthy to teach awareness, but, at some point, as far as i know, we all don’t get out alive. It is not that i am telling you to step out into traffic, but to fear something that may or may not happen to the point that it governs your life is truly absurd.

The larger point here is that fear is usually a very unhealthy aspect of the egoic-mind trying to protect its puny existence.

A recent study that was done over a twenty-year time period stated that of the fears that people allowed themselves to imagine, (things that might happen in the future) that of the 100% that were imagined, a mere 8% actually happened. And of the 8%, anywhere from 3% to 5% were so self-imagined that it seemed that events were actually manifested by the participants to make sure the fears actually happened.

To put it another way; 95% of the things that we fear to happen, never have a chance of happening, and that is being pretty generous with our stats.

3 Ways to Abate Fear Within You

If you have decided that you are going to live in the 5% of life that might happen, then that is your life journey. However, if you are thinking that life can be a bit more incredible if you were to break away from fear within your life journey, then it is time to let go and live with a new awareness of life, of love and of the very understanding that you were created to be more than what your ego has decided for you.

Way 1: Understand the Nature of Fear

In any fear-based situation, there is a nature of fear that is fear itself. Many times it is experience in your life that you have processed in a strange way that has no truth on the situation itself. Many times it is authority figures that have dictated their fears to you, so you live vicariously through them in your fear. For whatever the reason the fear exist, it is not so much as to pretend it doesn’t exist, but ask yourself the nature of its existence within you.

An example would be that many people fear flying, but the truth is that more people are killed while driving in a year than flying. Most people i have met who have been in an accident in a car, make it their mission to get back in again to essentially ‘get over it’.

Fear can be debilitating, in that there is no doubt, but really at the heart of many fears is the lack of egoic control. Fear is usually fear of the unknown, is it not?

Way 2: Ask the “What If – Then What?” Questions of the Fear

This is a fairly simple way to deal with the absurdity of fear in many instances.

Ask ‘What If, Then What?’’

What if the fear were to indeed manifest in the moment you imagined it? What then would happen and try to diffuse the fear by carrying it out as far as your mind will allow. the key here is to be absurd as possible as many times, that is the very nature of the fear to begin with.

There was a movie that starred Nicolas Cage called, “Next” that i enjoyed as this was essentially the premise of the movie. In the movie, Cage was a Las Vegas magician who can see into the future in two minute time sequences. What i thought was intriguing was the way he could take a fear of doing a certain action and see what it’s consequences would have been.

Do the same with your fear, but really use the outcome of your fear as would have already have happened to try to project a scenario of it happening.

Way 3: Ask the Final Questions, “What’s the Worse that Can Happen” and then, “What Then?”

At the end of the scenario for the 2nd Way, ask the question “What is the Worse that can happen?” I mean really get to the heart of the fear. More than likely the most carried out aspect of all fears, from the ego’s standpoint, is in some way death. Somehow the fear will eventually lead you to death.

Oh brother, your ego is telling you that if this happens or that happens, you maybe, just might, more than likely, will die, at some point, maybe, but not quite sure.

Do you see the absurdity of it all?

Again, i do not belittle some fears that may be ingrained and rooted in a real circumstance, but, i assure you, that most can be dealt with and, in most cases, can make you a stronger you when dealt with.

Fear is the Death Star within your soul that keeps you in line.

One of the quotes from Star Wars was when Darth Vader was talking about the Death Star and the abolishing of the Imperial Senate.

A character played by a pretty famous actor, Peter Cushing who played Grand Moff Tarkin, was quoted as saying, “The regional governors now have direct control over their territories. Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this Battle Station.”

Is your Death Star within keeping you from truly living your life? Ask the questions and don’t allow the fear in life to take you from a life of expansion and of beauty in the most uncommon of ways.

It is your journey, live it well.

3 Ways to Begin the Process of Taking Back Your Power

It takes a certain amount of guts to truly live in the Now Moment with full awareness of the possibilities that surround you.

It takes an awareness of the essence of who you truly are in the Universal Way and it takes the understanding that, if you are in no way even close to that realization, then you need to get there, for the truth shall set you free as has been said.

Look, i understand as life sometimes seems to be anything but yours to live. Maybe you have responsibilities of family and your pursuit of a career. Maybe you are struggling with some type of reliance on some type of release that seems to take you over when you least expect it.

May be you have just become such a victim to life that it seems only natural to just live in this way. I mean, it is normal, right?

Is it?

Yes, we live in a world where we are interconnected and in this age of Social Media, it seems that everyone has an opinion about everything; good and maybe, not so nice. It seems that we are all so willing to give out all of our power to just stay ahead of the game, which many call life, that, in the process, we lose a bit of ourselves just to ‘make nice’.

3 Ways to Begin the Process of Taking Back Your Power

Life is funny with its twist and turns, as one moment you seem to be on top of the world emotionally, and the next, you crash down due to some circumstance that you did not foresee.

And therein lies the challenge; to take you from the place that you have given all of your power away to the circumstances of life to bringing you the awareness that life is a beautiful place that you exist in seamlessly as a destined soul.

So how do you begin the process?

Way 1: Understand that Life Does Nothing To You

You are here and like a George Bailey situation from “It’s A Wonderful Life” if you were not around life would indeed unfold differently, so begin to understand that you are indeed here for a purpose.

Life does nothing to you, it is not out to get you. You are to, in a sense, make life come to you in a way that makes sense to who you are, where your power is and how you direct your power.

Yes, you have a power and you are to direct it but know that life owes you nothing. No governmental entity owes you anything, no person owes you anything. You are here for a reason, so start to grasp it and live it as you were designed.

Way 2: Become Your Truth

Why is it that so many seem to almost desire the release of their personal power to the circumstances and people in their lives? Is it because it is easier at the end of the day to be the victim of life and of others influences in their lives?

I believe it so.

I was working with a client the other day who was bemoaning her very existence within the town she lived in. She said she was miserable because she had no direction, no money and no seeming future.

I simply asked her that if money were no object, what would she do?

She then brightened up with the possibilities that would be opened to her and then we moved to her present circumstances. By the end of the session, she had a new direction of simply improving her present conditions within her house that would give her a sense of direction.

It was never about the money, really. It was about her giving all of her power away to her circumstances, to her husband, to her lack of a direction. It was all about her not living her truth.

It is easy to be a victim and not to be your truth for then you always have someone to blame.

That is not living. That is not Directing Your Own Life.

Way 3: Understand That This Now Moment is the Only Moment That Matters

One of the biggest challenges in life is to always be looking for the future in some way. Trust me, this is a concept that goes against all that we are taught by parents and institutions of learning in that everything is future-based on some future success. Even many of our religious institutions have succumbed to the idea that some future reward is all that matters and that everything is there waiting for you.

But the real truth is Opening Night. It is a date on a calendar and something we are aware of, but the show happens in the rehearsal that is happening right now.

Such is life. Yes, it is fantastic to know that you want to be this or that, do this or that, but, it is here where any ‘this or that’ happens. This is the very nature of many of our financial challenges right now; the wanting of it all regardless of the ability to be abundant for it.

It is as of you cast someone for a play and tell them that Opening Night is tomorrow. In no way could they be ready for it, nor could any other aspect of the show.

You see, living in the moment is all about awareness of what can be and the possibilities but it is full immersion into this moment alone. Any other way you live is simply an egoic tendency to try to craft a future that may or may not exist as you planned.

Be present, live your truth and understand that life flows with or without you, but that it has been designed for you to participate in fully and with a passion for it.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Until then…

The Battle Within; Why Do We Fight Ourselves – 3 Ways to Balance Our Life Approach

There is a duality within us all that we fail to embrace that will, ultimately destroy us if not dealt with.

The duality is constant fodder for TV and movies in the way of good and evil, Yin and Yang, and our male and feminine side, among other things. It is this duality that ‘keeps us in line’ or keeps us from stepping on toes so we can have a life full of no hassle.

But is that a way to truly live?

This is what we have been taught by parents, the way we have been schooled and the way our laws are designed all in the name of a harmonious existence as a society.

While i am not here to debate the nuances of the way societies are structured, i am on a mission to embrace the inner dynamic that allows us to function and it is this inner conflict, that if fully embraced, would have a far-reaching effect on the very fabric of society.

If every soul attempted to embrace the duality that we are endowed with, quite frankly many of our laws would become obsolete. Many of the scriptural references make mention to the fact that there is a certain aspect of our nature that is written upon our heart, essentially we know all we need to know to function without senseless laws that seek to control us.

In other words, we are endowed by our creator to know the way but it is when we release ourselves to the egoic tendencies that we then tend to become more at war than in balance with life and within ourselves.

What is it that pulls us? While that is a different question for most, it is a question that must be asked.

Again, just look at reality shows, and while most scoff at their heighten attempt at drama, it is a compressed look at the nature of souls when put in certain conditions that allow the process to unfold in a way that is all of our natures.

There is a battle that wages, but it need not be. It is like we are constantly bargaining within ourselves for a certain percentage of the company so that one part can retain control over the other.

3 Ways to Begin the Process of Alignment Within

Way 1: Embrace the Emotions

I lose many men here as men, by and large, have been taught that emotions are not the realm of ‘real men’. That emotions make us weak and that we are to ‘power through’ them and ‘man up’.

Have i used enough cliches here?

This is a fairly dynamic aspect of the unification process as there is a certain aspect of your nature that must me expressed emotionally; be it happiness or sadness or frustration or whatever else we experience within. It is when we bury these feelings that we become detached from that balance.

Now, notice i said to embrace them. They are nothing more than guideposts to the truth that the emotions are hiding. That truth that is the real you that seeks a way out through the balance within.

Acknowledge that they are there. Respect them for showing you the way and then look to the way they are pointing. They are the off-ramps for the truth. Allow them to lead you for t is when you pull off within the emotions that cause you to go astray.

Get past them and see the truth they obscure.

Way 2: Understand that Life is a Moving Target

Where many get caught up is in the granite-like approach they seem to take to life. There is right and wrong, good and bad, and this way and that way and , my favorite, my way or the highway. Of course no one ever explained where that highway would lead one.

More importantly, within the very framework of this approach, seems to be an ever-increasing amount of judgement that seems to come along with this way of thinking.

Shakespeare penned in Act 1, Scene 3 of Macbeth, “This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.”

What is true for you, may not be another’s truth. That does not make it good or bad, right or wrong, it just is what it is. If nothing else, if we live life as our own truth, others will respect it and desire to model it.

More importantly, when we reside in our own life of inner balance there comes naturally a peace that many see in you, but, more importantly, you see in the way you now live. When you live within your own truth, you are on the journey of a life of balance.

Way 3: Understand That in any Situation, Lead, Follow or Get Out of the Way, is the Answer

In an given situation, we must understand that if we are in a state of balance and awareness of who we are, there are situations that we do indeed lead. But in other situations, we follow, not with a spirit of anger for not leading, but because we can because of our inner truth.

We know when we are able to become a driving force and when we need to simply become a team player. And, more importantly, we know when to get out of the way. The key here is not allow the ego to become involved in such a way so as to assert itself as the one who should always lead.

A soul with a sense of inner peace knows the exact moments to become the Yin to anothers Yang but it is only from a sense of inner balance.

This is a process, but all stems from within.

Begin the journey, if you have not already, for life awaits you. You await you.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Until then…

Be Excellent, Expect the Best!
