The Kindness in Abundance – 3 Ways To Live In The Kindness of Abundance

Abundance has its own cadence that seems to echo within the far reaches of the soul. Within this rhythm of life, there is a kindness that must be exhibited in all ways that stems from the very heart of the abundance within or it is as shallow as life itself then becomes.

Most don’t seem to make the connection to kindness and abundance as they seem to believe that one becomes kind because of the abundance. This, too, is somewhat of a fake mission of the soul as the ego goes about its work in your general unworthiness as you struggle with any abundance that you may receive.

For example, you see this in many an actor who struggles for years doing odd jobs as they try to put together a career as an actor. When they become an “overnight success”, or so it would seem, their new financial abundance comes with a price of guilt and a general feeling of unworthiness. Having struggled for so long, they then many times become involved with causes and concerns that seemingly come from left field as well as their display of a lavish lifestyle.

While i fault no one for achieving as is the human condition to expand, create and flourish, it is when the ego takes over where kindness should have already been in place, that it then becomes problematic.

Kindness is something that is so deep and beautiful within you that you cannot help but to lift all around you within the very abundance that you are; financially and in every other way. Kindness is a condition of the heart and an extension of the soul that transcends the abundance.

3 Ways to Live Within the Kindness of Abundance

Abundance, then, becomes simply another way to empower humankind magnetized by the kindness that gives it its beauty.

Way 1: Understand That Kindness Transcends Abundance

Abundance is always a heart condition before it is ever manifest in the physical world. Abundance is neither a station in life or something that is out there to obtain, even though society and your ego seek to tell you differently.

The very definition of kindness is compassion and generosity and without those traits exhibited, abundance becomes nothing more that a life expression such as hording. Abundance, then, is parceled out from you like some sort of rare concert ticket to all around you.

Unfortunately, you then become nothing more than the substance of your abundance lacking kindness, lacking integrity and lacking heart.

Way 2: Be Willing to Lose Yourself in the Grace of Kindness

Kindness cannot be taught or learned, really, but must be experienced in the depths of soul that could never be explained.

Yes, parents and authority figures seek to establish a taste of kindness within you by instilling in you the traits of kindness, but without a genuine experience that contains the essence of what kindness produces within you, it is like shaving cream on a balloon; when it pops, the shaving cream goes everywhere leaving only traces of what was.

Usually, this grace is an overwhelming experience that washes over you and shows you a newness of life and then becomes the core of who you are. More often than not, people can point to that exact moment in life when the grace of kindness became their reality and then became a guide that fueled their Now Moments of Kindness.

But you must lose yourself in this grace. No one can teach you this but only show you the way, but the secret is in the losing, for it is in the losing that you gain.

Way 3: You Must Be Willing to Make a Shift in Kindness

In this world, we honor when souls go out of their way to be kind. It is held up as a true testament to the soul of the person that exhibited the kindness, but it is available to all. Abundance does not produce kindness, but the other way around.

If you truly lose yourself in the kindness that is soul based, then the world becomes a sweeter existence in your living of your Present Moments. Kindness then becomes not a mere doing of things, but of living in the ways of graciousness and goodwill with an eye on humanity.

Kindness, then, becomes the way the world has now been transformed into because you have become the kindness that the world needs.

Abundance now becomes second nature to you because you have allowed the powering source of kindness into your existence. You have made the shift.

Kindness is always a true reflection of the soul that becomes it and when you allow kindness to manifest the ways of your life, then abundance will naturally follow in ways you could have never imagined. Just be willing to allow it to flow and grow in each Now Moment for only there will you truly live.

3 Ways To Begin To Understand How To Fully Live In Abundance

When most think of abundance, of course, the natural tendency is to think in monetary ways as it seems that financially, that is the way of the world.

Unfortunately, in the process of this limiting thinking, comes an actual lack of abundance. For it is when we limit ourselves in the fullness of an abundant life, we actually look for ways to not be abundant. You could say, it was our lack attitude, then, that is actually causing our disconnect from the abundant way.

Now, this is an area that most seem to acknowledge within their awareness, but, for whatever reason, seem to believe they are not worthy of.

Let me explain it in this way and for a moment, keep the monetary thinking clear form your thinking, even though the images are obviously of a monetary nature.

We all live in a mansion that is the way we have been designed to live. This mansion is not ostentatious, but, instead, impeccably kept and surrounded by beautiful acreage that is manicured and reflective of our true nature.

We are completely at home here, but we get bored or all of a sudden feel that we need some excitement of some kind. We then leave our mansion and venture out into the world to explore. In the process of the exploration, we attract ourselves to a rather unsavory element that seem to follow us back to the mansion at some point.

They invade our mansion as we have allowed them to do and attack us where we feel safe. We then no longer feel worthy of the mansion and then live in the expectation that only the unsavory element is all we are destined for.

Finally, we come to understand the significance of the mansion and what it represents and decide to take a stand against the gang that is surrounding us. When we finally stand up to them, it is the very nature of the standing up to them that makes them leave. We simply go out to meet them and, by doing so, we dissolve them and they leave.

3 Ways to Begin to Fully Live in Abundance

We accept our inheritance as creatures of abundance and we allow ourselves to become that which is already ours.

Do you see my point here?

Way 1: First Understand That You Are Naturally Abundant Creatures

Most operate from a place that they must crawl and scratch their way to the top of some magical hill called “Abundance”. That we are, at the core, worthless creatures that are fortunate, at best, to ‘luck into’ some sort of abundant life. That we get some sort of break and are able to get abundance.

The truth is that we are already living in this perpetual state as that is how we have been designed. That we have allowed various gangs of thugs to somehow give us an impression that we are not worthy of it is egoic in nature. The ego will always tell you that everyone is out to get you and that what ever you crawl and scratch for is yours to keep.

So abundance, then, become this trophy, of sorts. As soon as we think we get it, we then go about seeking how not to lose it.

The beautiful mansion, then, that is open to all, becomes walled up by a huge wall with barbed wire and guard dogs to make sure we don’t lose that which everyone is out to take.

Understand that it is the exact opposite. We are given all abundance within ourselves in all ways and then it is the ego and life that seeks to turn it into some sort of treasure that must be guarded for fear of loss.

Way 2: Know You Are Worthy

This is probably the biggest way the ego uses to keep its all-consuming control over you.

You are not worthy, the ego will tell you. You have to claw your way to the top and you have to earn respect and when you are so very abundant, people will respect you for what you have become, for the hard work you have put into getting where you are.

But what happens if your ‘hard work’ doesn’t pay off and who is the arbiter of the level of success that is to determine this abundance that has been achieved?

It all comes down to your feeling of worth.

Think about it. So often we see this very worth factor in relationships. It seems that it is our own worthiness factor that determines if we are successful within the relationship. I have often heard clients tell me that they are not worthy of a certain relationship for this or that reason. That worthiness, then, can be traced to other facets of their life. Many times when some one desires that a parent feel proud of them, it is that they are feeling an unworthiness that must me validated by someone they look up to.

When i watch reality shows, often times a contestant will say that they are seeking some one to be proud of them and that is why they are doing it to an extent.

To be validated, to be worthy, to be abundant…they all go hand-in-hand. Know you are already worthy as you are here to fulfill a purpose in life. You are already abundant, and even if your bank account doesn’t reflect a level that you may desire at this moment, know that it is not reflective of your overall abundance, for you have already been given abundance.

Way 3: Release Yourself to Your Natural Abundance

This is one of the hardest aspects that must be understood about abundance. Since the ego and society tells us that it is a struggle to achieve, that for some reason abundance is like a big pie and that you must do what you must to get you slice before it is all gone.

Releasing into abundance, then, is not natural because the ego will tell us that ‘if we snooze, we lose,’ right? We have to get it before someone else takes it from us.

From a financial standpoint, it can be said as Sophie Tucker, a famous actress at the beginning of the 20th Century, said, “I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor. Believe me, honey, rich is better.”

Yes, we all have a desire to be “rich” but, again, many times it is a societal pressure to have or to accumulate a certain magical number that means we have arrived at the doorstep of abundance, but really, it is the freedom we are seeking that is the very nature of financial abundance.

Abundance, then, really becomes a state of mind and a sense of worthiness and at the core of it all, is a release into that state of mind that is all abundance. When we release ourselves into that thought of a natural state of abundance, then you will find that the abundance we so often have clawed for becomes a natural state of being.

But you must release, let go and flow. For therein lies the heart of living in the natural abundance that is yours for the asking.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Until then…

Be Excellent, Expect the Best!

The Suckiness of Fear: 3 Ways to Abate Fear Within You

OK, i get it…Suckiness is not really a word, but it should be, right?

There is really nothing else i can say that coveys my disdain for the very aspect of fear within our lives. We are taught it. It is held up as a teacher, as a guide to give us the right way to live.

Blah, blah, blah…

We fear everything, it seems, and most of the time the ego has so got a hold on us that we cannot truly live our lives in the joy that is intended as the cool creatures that we are.

Why is that?

There is a whole industry in the self-improvement arena that focuses on ‘facing your fears’. I’m all for that, but the depth of that is far deeper in that there is a truth to be told that instigates the fear itself.

Why does it exist and why have you allowed it to so control you very existence.

I have heard people tell me that they fear death. How do they know? What is it about death that seems to cause people to change the way they live their lives?

It is like when your parents told you to watch out for traffic when you were little because a car could kill you. Well, true, and it is healthy to teach awareness, but, at some point, as far as i know, we all don’t get out alive. It is not that i am telling you to step out into traffic, but to fear something that may or may not happen to the point that it governs your life is truly absurd.

The larger point here is that fear is usually a very unhealthy aspect of the egoic-mind trying to protect its puny existence.

A recent study that was done over a twenty-year time period stated that of the fears that people allowed themselves to imagine, (things that might happen in the future) that of the 100% that were imagined, a mere 8% actually happened. And of the 8%, anywhere from 3% to 5% were so self-imagined that it seemed that events were actually manifested by the participants to make sure the fears actually happened.

To put it another way; 95% of the things that we fear to happen, never have a chance of happening, and that is being pretty generous with our stats.

3 Ways to Abate Fear Within You

If you have decided that you are going to live in the 5% of life that might happen, then that is your life journey. However, if you are thinking that life can be a bit more incredible if you were to break away from fear within your life journey, then it is time to let go and live with a new awareness of life, of love and of the very understanding that you were created to be more than what your ego has decided for you.

Way 1: Understand the Nature of Fear

In any fear-based situation, there is a nature of fear that is fear itself. Many times it is experience in your life that you have processed in a strange way that has no truth on the situation itself. Many times it is authority figures that have dictated their fears to you, so you live vicariously through them in your fear. For whatever the reason the fear exist, it is not so much as to pretend it doesn’t exist, but ask yourself the nature of its existence within you.

An example would be that many people fear flying, but the truth is that more people are killed while driving in a year than flying. Most people i have met who have been in an accident in a car, make it their mission to get back in again to essentially ‘get over it’.

Fear can be debilitating, in that there is no doubt, but really at the heart of many fears is the lack of egoic control. Fear is usually fear of the unknown, is it not?

Way 2: Ask the “What If – Then What?” Questions of the Fear

This is a fairly simple way to deal with the absurdity of fear in many instances.

Ask ‘What If, Then What?’’

What if the fear were to indeed manifest in the moment you imagined it? What then would happen and try to diffuse the fear by carrying it out as far as your mind will allow. the key here is to be absurd as possible as many times, that is the very nature of the fear to begin with.

There was a movie that starred Nicolas Cage called, “Next” that i enjoyed as this was essentially the premise of the movie. In the movie, Cage was a Las Vegas magician who can see into the future in two minute time sequences. What i thought was intriguing was the way he could take a fear of doing a certain action and see what it’s consequences would have been.

Do the same with your fear, but really use the outcome of your fear as would have already have happened to try to project a scenario of it happening.

Way 3: Ask the Final Questions, “What’s the Worse that Can Happen” and then, “What Then?”

At the end of the scenario for the 2nd Way, ask the question “What is the Worse that can happen?” I mean really get to the heart of the fear. More than likely the most carried out aspect of all fears, from the ego’s standpoint, is in some way death. Somehow the fear will eventually lead you to death.

Oh brother, your ego is telling you that if this happens or that happens, you maybe, just might, more than likely, will die, at some point, maybe, but not quite sure.

Do you see the absurdity of it all?

Again, i do not belittle some fears that may be ingrained and rooted in a real circumstance, but, i assure you, that most can be dealt with and, in most cases, can make you a stronger you when dealt with.

Fear is the Death Star within your soul that keeps you in line.

One of the quotes from Star Wars was when Darth Vader was talking about the Death Star and the abolishing of the Imperial Senate.

A character played by a pretty famous actor, Peter Cushing who played Grand Moff Tarkin, was quoted as saying, “The regional governors now have direct control over their territories. Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this Battle Station.”

Is your Death Star within keeping you from truly living your life? Ask the questions and don’t allow the fear in life to take you from a life of expansion and of beauty in the most uncommon of ways.

It is your journey, live it well.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Until then…

3 Ways To Stop Being Held As A Prisoner of War Within Your Mind

When i was a kid, i remember seeing the old comedy show, Hogan’s Heroes, about a prisoner of war camp during the Second World War.

The shows premise was that the POWs were actually active war participants, using the camp as a base of operations for Allied espionage and sabotage against the Germans or the German Armed Forces.

The prisoners could leave and return almost at will via a secret network of tunnels and had radio contact with Allied command. They were aided by the incompetence of the camp commandant, Colonel Klink, and the rather more complex motivations of Sergeant of The Guard Sergeant Schultz.

Colonel Hogan would routinely manipulate the incompetent Klink and get Schultz to look the other way while Hogan’s men conducted secret operations. Klink and Schultz were in constant terror of being transferred to the Russian Front, and Hogan took pains to keep the hapless German duo firmly in place.

Schultz was quite aware that the prisoners were carrying out some sort of mischief, but deliberately ignored it in order to maintain the status quo.

It was all fun and games as the actual war was now 20 years over at the time the show was broadcast and time to start having fun with it all, i suppose.

But i am struck with the similarities of how we are POWs within our own minds.

You see, i believe us to be prisoners to our egoic nature and, like the show, we seem to be willing to allow ourselves to be used by allied command, the ego, for all kinds of shenanigans.

Unfortunately, we will never be allowed to leave as the ego has decided that you are not worthy to become the expansive creatures who relish living in the beauty of each Now Moment.

You see, by keeping you forever trapped by a guilt-ridden past and a future that is full of angst, for the details of your life must always be planned out or you are just a failure, we are kept as POWs forever hoping the war might end.

But like in the show where the POWs were content to stay put to do the secret operations, we too, seem to be content with ceding our lives to the ego to manage. I mean, isn’t it just easier to live in guilt and regret of the things we should have done and to put our desires into some hope of a glorious future that will happen when our ship comes in?

3 Ways to Release Yourself to Live Free

The ego is never a tyrannical dictator as the aspect of divine providence within for freedom would always rise to the surface.

No, instead, the ego is indeed like Allied Command, making it seem as if you are part of the overall plan for success.

Way 1: Understand the Way You Are Being Held Captive

This is indeed different for everyone as the ego is subtle in its design. It is forever dwelling on that which will make you stay put as a prisoner but making it seem as if you are a full participant in the process. If it is guilt about something in your past, regret about some situation that you had no control over or whatever it is your ego has decided that t needs to keep you bound, you need to understand for yourself the way you are being kept prisoner.

The key here is to understand the feelings and emotions, yet never judge them. When you allow yourself to judge them, you become the victim and then the prisoner. Judgement always reflects on the one who judges.

Way 2: Understand that the Tunnels that Lead Away Have Always Been There

Believe it or not, there is a symbiotic relationship that you have with your ego. You know the tunnels are there, the ego knows you can be free, yet does not try and stop you from using them. However, the ego tells you that the tunnels are simply used for missions but that the place of safety and security is always behind the barbed wire of the camp.

When you can make sense of the “why” then the access to the tunnels becomes a bit easier to begin to see that the true freedom can only come when you decide to use the tunnels for a one-way trip out.

There is never any safety and security as a Prisoner of War but there is clarity when you understand that life begins when you do. This means shedding your reliance on the ego and allowing yourself to step into the fresh sunlight of your Present Moments. Only there can you find yourself waiting.

Way 3: Understand that There is No Safety Ever in the Realm of the Ego

The tendency to retreat back into the camp is so dominant as you come to truly live free. The ego has assured you that the missions were as free as you needed to be, but that you will always be the safest behind the barbed wire that encloses it. The ego will tell you that it is in charge but that everything you do is vital to the success of the war.

You believed it.

Well, you used to, but no longer. Yes, the freedom of accepting yourself for who you are can be daunting. The freedom to be free of judgement of yourself and of others can be exhilarating, yet scary, at the same time. It has been such a fall-back position that the ego has used to bolster your view of yourself, right?

But once you have lived in the realm of freedom of yourself, from yourself, you begin to see the uselessness of the ego and the temptation to retreat back into the tunnels.

It is not a journey back you should ever desire. It is like when someone loses weight and gains it back and it is more difficult, or so it seems, to lose the weight again. It is just easy to retreat back into old patterns of guilt, regret and judgement.

Don’t go there.

Be a person who is free of the encampments of the mind and of the ego, for there, in the details of each Now Moment, life is waiting.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Breakaway From Limiting Thoughts: 3 Ways To Begin Anew Now

My Pandora played me a song by Kelly Clarkson, Breakaway, and i thought that the words of the chorus fit perfectly into the place we must all decide to do to really advance ourselves into each fantastic Now Moment.

Breakaway From Limiting Thoughts

The lyrics of the chorus are:

I’ll spread my wings and I’ll learn how to fly

I’ll do what it takes til’ I touch the sky

And I’ll make a wish

Take a chance

Make a change

And breakaway

Out of the darkness and into the sun

But I won’t forget all the ones that I love

I’ll take a risk

Take a chance

Make a change

And breakaway

These words struck me as a way to release yourself into a new Now Moment in a way that seeks to honor the experiences of the past.

However, to really release yourself, you must indeed breakaway from the anchors that sometimes keep you in a place that is not necessarily a bad place, but a place that is maybe too comforting. You have to release you have to breakaway.

It is funny as i coach people from all walks of life, sometimes it is the very comfort of what they see as a place of security that are the limiting thoughts that bind them in a place in their lives.

Sometimes it is the very security that you desire in a relationship, a station in life, or whatever, that keeps you from spreading your wings. Sometimes letting go is indeed the risk that others decide for you is crazy.

But the point is that others are deciding for you.Are you deciding for you?

Limiting thoughts are that place within you that is nothing more than the ego telling you that you are not worthy of a better experience. It is so-called security that binds you to an image of what is safe and secure.

You know, as i love the watching of reality shows, i watch with interest “The Biggest Loser” and hear to tell of how Americans have allowed that very thought of security and a sedentary lifestyle to become their reality. We become creatures that are then based in the image of security instead of the expansion of our selves into a better creature of the world.

During “The Biggest Loser”, the trainers usually get into the heads of the various folks at the ranch where they train. As they train them, they come to discover that the overweight individuals have become creatures of limiting thoughts in that they have retreated within themselves and put a certain amount of trust in the food as it judges them not.

It simply is there and is a place that they can find a comfort as the limiting thoughts that brought them there are now solely at the behest of the food.

Most have done this, if not with food, with relationships, or careers or anything else that seems fairly innocuous on the surface. Anything that keeps you at a place in your life and does not allow for your expansion is at the core of limiting thoughts.

3 Ways to Breakaway From Limiting Thoughts

Remember if you are allowing yourself to be kept in a place that you do not expand your soul, then you are limiting yourself. We are creatures of expansion of a soul level and that expansion brings forth the creation of the world we share with other enlightened souls.

Way 1: The Past is the Past. Forgetaboutit!

There is this feeling i first heard my mother describe as being “out of sorts”, meaning that something is just not right in your soul. You are unsettled but can’t really understand why.

That something is always the past that is rippling onto the Present Moment. Most live in such a place of regret and guilt with things that happened or did not happen in some distant past that they are ‘out of sorts’ with the Present Moment. The ego loves this. The Now Moment then is forgotten about and the past and future, then, are the essence of living, according to the ego.

You have to let go in love. This is the key. There must be only love for the experiences and lessons of the past alone. Yes, everyone has heartbreak and tragedy in their lives, as that is the natural order of things, but you have to, as the Italians say, “forgetaboutit!” Which in Italian means, leave it or die. Usually when you don’t forgetaboutit, you die. So make sure you “forgetaboutit”.

It was best described in the Movie from 1997 called, “Donnie Brasco” when an FBI technician asked Donnie Brasco what it meant. This was his response. “Forget about it is like if you agree with someone, you know, like Raquel Welch is one great piece of ass, forget about it. But then, if you disagree, like A Lincoln is better than a Cadillac? Forget about it! you know? But then, it’s also like if something’s the greatest thing in the world, like mingia those peppers, forget about it. But it’s also like saying Go to hell! too. Like, you know, like “Hey Paulie, you got a one inch pecker?” and Paulie says “Forget about it!” Sometimes it just means forget about it.”

The Past is the Past, Forgetaboutit!

Way 2: Understand That You Are the One Who Allows All in Your Life

This is a tough one to grasp, but this takes you to a place of responsibility in your life and frees you from the trap of not going froward with a knowledge that you can be expansive in thought, word and deed.

You are a creative being meant to be expansive and to create your own reality. To not allow that to happen is to allow the ego and those in your sphere to determine for you your existence.

If you have decided that life, the economy, a relationship or anything else that is ‘holding you back’ is responsible for your limiting thoughts and actions, then rethink it.

Believe it or not, you are the creator of your greatness and you are meant to live a life not based on excuses of why you can’t move forward. If you have retreated into some type of comfort like food or alcohol, you might want to stop and ask yourself why.

If you are constantly saying that this or that happened to you, you might want to understand that nothing happens “to” you but “because of you”.

There is no judgement here and no reason for self-incrimination or blame. Just release yourself to it and become a person that desires to know that there are no limitations. You can create your own reality, but begin the process now, for this is the only moment you have.

Way 3: Let Your Mind Go Free

You have to, as the song, Breakaway, says, take a risk, Take a chance, Make a change And breakaway.

Where do you want to go? Who do you desire to be Now? Who do you desire to become when you have released yourself to be so?

What is stopping you?

Here is the answer to the last question…You.

Create your own reality, not one self-imposed on you by a set of beings who have themselves, limited thinking and perceptions of what is and could be. You are better than those kind of thoughts.

Be aware, though, this step requires the full commitment to truly unleashing yourself. I usually describe this process to clients as the realization that the room that you have been locked in is finally open for you to leave, but you enter the hallway with your hand still on the door frame, just in case.

Just in case of what?

Step into the hallway and thank the room for the experience of solitude, if nothing else. Don’t look back for it was but a place that kept you from expanding.

You are free. You did Breakaway and now the world is your oyster. It is up to you to find the Pearl within it that is right for you alone.

Be a Person of Quality. Direct Your Power.

Until then…

Be Excellent, Expect the Best!

A Life of Purpose; 3 Ways to Deal With Your Core Concern

William Shakespeare, of course, wrote “This above all: to thine own self be true. And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.”

Seeking a life of purpose could never be carried out in the suggestions of a solitary post about the very nature of Living a Life of Purpose, but understanding the core of who you are, there is always a starting point that you reinvigorate your soul’s quest for truth.

Of course, everyone has their own life journey, their own truth, but somewhere along the way there must come a realization that there is a Life Purpose, the True Self that you were destined to become..

There is an old story from the Taoist tradition about the nature of the True Self.

A distraught man approached a Zen master. “Please, Master, I feel lost, desperate. I don’t know who I am. Please, show me my true self!” But the teacher just looked away without responding. The man began to plead and beg, but still the master gave no reply. Finally giving up in frustration, the man turned to leave. At that moment the master called out to him by name. “Yes!” the man said as he spun back around. “There it is!” exclaimed the master.

Several years back, there was a famous movie done by Steven Spielberg called, “Saving Private Ryan.” The movie followed a group of men lead by Tom Hank’s character, who were dispensed to bring back to safety, Private Ryan, who was the last member of a family of brothers who had been killed in World War II.

While the story was riveting, it was the last line of a now-elderly Private Ryan, after he had lived his life, that made me think. In one of the final scenes of the movie, an elderly Mr. Ryan is seen asking one of his children if he had lived his life well enough to account for the sacrifice that many men made to bring him home. Had he lived a life that mattered.

In many regards, that is the truth of life, is it not? Who are we answering “Yes” to when someone calls our name? Will we indeed look back and ask if we, too, have lived a life that the expansive Universe desires for us?

At the heart of it all, is our Core; Who are we at our Core and what is the Core Concern that seems to be holding us back from living that life that matters.

While you may think that these are two questions, they are essentially a coin with two sides. We all have a Core that we answer “Yes” to and then there is a Core Concern that seems to derail that “Yes” time after time.

The Core Concern That Binds Us

In truly living in the Now Moments of life, it is the Core Concern that seems to be our arch-nemesis. You see, we all have a Core Concern, that which seems to be at the heart of of fears, doubts and worries that seek to deplete the “Yes” part of us, our True Self.

But here is the main concept of the Core Concern; We spend a lot of time and energy trying to feel it and most of that is done unconsciously. In many ways, the ego takes over to cover over it by releasing insecurities that seem to cover over the feelings instead of just embracing them

3 Ways to Deal With Your Core Concern

As was said, the feelings of the Core Concern, whatever that is for you, is that seemingly “dark place” that often seems to derail you; be it anger, fear, feelings of not being worthy or whatever it is that you most struggle with. Turing it over to the ego to sort out, often with unforeseen consequences is not healthy, but is a place most go.

Way 1: Look into the Light

Essentially, embrace the Core Concern as a teacher, of sorts. In the movie mentioned above, “Saving Private Ryan”, Ryan’s Core Concern that he carried throughout his life, was that many men sacrificed their lives for him, a lowly Private in the Army and he struggled with being worthy.

The Core Concern is like that black hole in space that is sucking the energy of our souls but maybe, we should just turn our ship into it and embrace it for the teacher that it might be. Instead of constantly asking yourself if you are worthy, or whatever, just tell yourself that it is there as an object lesson for you.

Way 2: Accept With No Judgement

We waste a lot of energy dealing with our Core Concern in ways that are counterproductive to our “Yes”, our True Self. Instead of NOT trying to feel it, accept it for what it is. Acknowledge it with NO judgement. As soon as you start into the judgement for the reason it is there, the cycle starts all over again. Become an observer, in a way. Look at it and actually thank it for showing you a lesson and the way to your True Self, the way you can always say “Yes” to.

Way 3: Release It and Move On

This may be the toughest challenge in that, in many respects, your Core Concern is serving you by giving you an excuse to not fully embrace your truth. By saying “Thank You” and letting it go, we become the truth that is meant to be.

In living in the Now Moments of life, wouldn’t it be nice to just “Be”? No judgements, no worry about the “what ifs” of life? Just embracing the Core Concern with no guilt and saying that is what it is and its OK.
It is time to glean the lessons and move on. For here in the release of judgement, guilt and shame is freedom to become life itself.

Your True Self awaits.
