Killing Happiness With The External: 3 Ways to Look Within

I was coaching a client the other day who was telling me the boredom that had beset her and that there was “nothing to do” that brought her joy.

Even a casual follower of this blog knows where i will go with that, but in case you are of the mindset that the external; the vacations, the special occasions, the parties, etc, etc, will bring you some sort of peace within your life, you probably need to re-evaluate your thinking.

As i told my client, there is nothing “out there” that can ever bring you a joyful countenance if you  first are not living in some kind of place where love, joy and peace are at least a small reality.

There can never be an event, an occasion or even another person, that can bring you to a place of joy in your life if you first don’t come to grips with the essence of love within first.

The Goal Line is Constantly Being Moved

Maybe it is the idea that we are always in the pursuit of happiness and that it lies in the obtaining. But isn’t the goal line always seemingly being moved on you? Or maybe it is more like the Charlie Brown character who expects different results every time he goes to kick the football as Lucy is holding it.

3 Ways to Look Within for Happiness

That is the fleeting expression of happiness that is always an external pursuit. The truth is that we are happiness, love, peace and joy, first, and then the truth of that happiness will then manifest outside of ourselves.

Way 1: Find Your Happy Place

Understand that within us all is that place that we are our own truth. Maybe it has become obscured by life, by the opinions of others, by your expectations of what exactly happiness is supposed to be.

Whatever the reason, you must understand that there is a truth that is your joy that may be as simple as understanding that your very nature is love, first. There is a place that you go to, whether you know it or not, that gives you a sense of peace. It is not the place so much as who you are within that place. That is your happy place.

Way 2: Know That Who You Are in All Situations is the Joy You Bring

When a situation that is supposed to bring you a happiness within comes to you, understand it is you that brings any sense of joy to that place to begin with.

A situation, a place or a romance is not the happiness but simply an extension of the peace you bring into it. If you go to a party and everyone is standing around with scowling looks on their faces, was it the party that was bad?

One might say so, but have you ever been in a place where there is one soul that is so dynamic that they change the atmosphere of the room when they enter?

You are that one who can bring joy to a place where there may be none, but you have to believe it first. If it is an act, it will eventually fade away. It must be genuine.

Way 3: Live Your Joy When No One is Looking

This plays into Way 2 in that there must be a genuine expression of that joy found within for this to all make sense. Many would say that this is a process.

Yes and no, but i am more of the mindset that it is a decision that is strictly internal. There are no conditions that must be in place for you to understand that it is your birthright to be joy, to be love and to be peace.

No one must be in your life, no amount of money must be within your reach, you are not at the whims of others and their opinions of you in order to begin this process. It is simply an understanding that you are already that soul of love, peace and joy and you must embrace the essence of that within so as to live it without.

Sometimes it as simple as a decision. Let the process begin there.  In the end, it is a solitary journey that you must understand exists. Your journey then involves others on their solitary journey as well and joy becomes a manifesting destiny.

Live yours well.

We Are Creatures of Habit: 3 Ways to Understand Your Role

Change, Change, Change… as the old song goes, right? But have you ever fully noticed how we get so upset at the slightest change within our lives? Even if our daily routine is changed but by a bit it somehow is supposed to now affect the entire day.

I was sitting in my local coffee shop one day and a service man came next to me with his tray that had his drink. In the course of setting his breakfast down, his drink was spilled and you had thought that we had just had an international incident occur.

Exasperated, he said to his buddy,”Well, i guess that will set the tone for the day. Great!”

Now, mind you, he spilled not a drop on himself. The restaurant crew was there to clean it and his drink was easily replaced. Nor did any of his other breakfast become saturated by the spilled drink.

Now, my inner coach had to leap to the defense of the rest of the day for this young man and i simply said, “It is only a spilled drink. it has nothing to do with any part of the day ahead. You are better than a drink slipping from your grasp. It has no reflection upon anything that will happen, ever.”

The young man smiled and said, “You are right. I am in the command of daily changes in the service. i guess a drink should not determine my day in any way.”

He got my point. Stuff happens and it is no reflection of any upcoming happening. It is what it is.

Why is it that we think everything should be as the ego says it should always be, that everything is predictable when we know that life is not that way.

Creatures of Habit

One of the reasons we are affected by stuff happening is that we are creatures of habit and we are emotional cauldrons always being stirred and sometimes the pot just overflows at the least bit of stirring.

3 Major Ways We Deal With Change

Way 1: Our Personality Filter

This is the way we are put together in many ways. It is what makes us tick, it is how we view the world. We have a dominant way that happens for us and it is a great way to understand ourselves.

Knowing this information can lead us into ways we can adapt our reactive ways in dealing with change, but really, at the core of all personality types is the ability to harness your inner peace so as to not become trapped by the way we are. In a sense, don’t become a victim to your personality type that you perceive yourself as having as it may become a crutch.

Way 2: Our Levels of Awareness

A spilled drink should not become an awareness of a day of one “bad” thing happening after another. Anything that impacts your level of awareness becomes a hindrance to your becoming a true Now Moment thinker.

It is amazing how the simplest of changes in the morning routine that our ego has decided is our reality can manifest in ways that make no sense within the time frame of our day. When you strive to reach a heightened state of consciousness then you are more able to live within the confines of each Now Moment. A spilled drink is simply a spilled drink within that moment alone and has no connection to some other event.

It is never the “spilled drinks” in our lives, but our reaction to them that truly matters.

Way 3: Our Conscious Awareness of the Change

This plays into Way 2 in that the more you are aware, the more you are able to no longer be the reactive, impetuous creature that is affected by an event that takes you away from your norm.

Remember that there is no normal, really, and if there is, why is there?

How do you generally react to change?

On the spectrum of actively seeking change to actively avoiding it, where do you fall?

How do you manage your feelings about change, especially if the change is not one you chose?

Your awareness that life is an ever-evolving place and that if we are not “change” on some level, then we are not really becoming better Universal creatures.

Yes, we like the routine, but we are not vested in it. Look for the opportunity to be change to a world that has become stuck in routine. For it is here that you become better, the world becomes better.

3 Ways to Stop Being Affected by Other’s Words of Worry Towards You

Worry kills the spirit of the one it inhabits and infects those around them at the same time.

Why does this happen that a soul on a beautiful journey of love allows such an egoic, unhealthy and, very often, irrational look a future that does not yet exist into their very existence. Why has worry been given such a place of respect in our world. Worry is even joked about as a redeeming trait in many movies.

But there is the insidiousness of it, is it not? The idea that it is indeed fodder for ridicule and yet we allow it to still infect our lives baffles me. It as if we are saying it is not so good for someone else to worry, but, its OK for me because somehow, i have in under control.

But with this worry-bound life comes the eradication of Now Moments. Of course, that is the point of worry. In the wake of worry there are no Now Moments, only moments that are somehow out there that must be going to happen in some way and somehow the worry will make those future Now Moments easier to live.

Pretty bizarre thinking when you really analyze it.

The Worry of Others Infects Your Journey

I could go on for days here and have written posts about it before, but the most troubling aspect of worry is the way we allow others to impact our journey with their worrisome attitude. Really, when someone else worries about you in some situation and projects that worry on you, it is nothing but their ego rising to control you.

Let me give you an example of a client who recently took a tumble off of a ladder and broke his back. Now this man has an excellent attitude and takes a very youthful approach to age in general. Well, after he recuperated, he came and saw me and was having some issues with the thoughts of others that he was allowing to impact him.

Essentially, others were telling him that he should not go up on the ladder again. I asked him if he desired to, if he enjoyed getting up on the ladder doing things. He said that he did, that it was not a chore. So we established that it was not something he dreaded but that he felt able and loved being active.

I then asked if others were responsible for his happiness; could they determine the course of his life journey with their worry now moments any way.

He again said no.

I then told him that others were projecting their fear on to him because, more than likely, that is how they would have handled their fear. I even spoke to their wanting to control him by telling him that he was not able to overcome an accident that would more than likely never happen again..

After we finished, he looked back at me as he left and said, “Thank you. I am so tired of others deciding for me my joy in any moment.” I told him that it was none of his business what others thought of his actions and, quite frankly, if he wanted to skydive, it was his business.

3 Ways to Stop Being Affected by Others Words

You see, we have a way of inserting ourselves into the lives of others, often time in the very name of love as “concern” (worry) for them. But really what is going on, is our ego is impacted by them and we are always, if ego-driven, looking to protect ourselves by maintaining that relationship.

Way 1: Always Look at the Concern of Others in its True Nature

I am not asking you to be cold hearted here, but you must begin the journey of living for yourself.

If you are constantly allowing the words and concerns wrapped in worry from others to affect you, can you ever have a truthful journey on your own?

In a way, it is like when we lose a loved one. We mourn, but it is always about the way we are affected. If it is someone very close, we are affected as to the time that we no longer will spend with that person in our lives. Not that it is good or bad, it just it is what it is.

But if we grieve past the normal stages of grief that have been studied from author, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, when she discusses the Five Stages of Grief, then we must look at the hold the ego has on the very act of living.

Way 2: Don’t Allow Others Words of Worry to Become Your Existence

If you base your life on what others think of your actions and allow their words and even the very looks they give you to be an indicator of a course of action for your life, then you have allowed someone else to set a course of direction for you.

To be quite honest, you might be shocked just how little others are actually thinking about you.

I am always amazed at the amount of ego that is present when someone is so invested in others thoughts about their actions. Often it is someone who is very self-conscious and, on the outside, seems very non-egoic. But it is usually just the opposite. The ego has such a hold on them that they base every action on the ideas, words and presumed thoughts of others.

One of my favorite quotes i use for my clients is one from Dr. Seuss where he says, “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”

Way 3: Worry From Others is Often Judgement of Your Journey. Don’t Judge, Just Live

It is your journey. Things are only Bad or Good in the context of the moment, but it is always your journey. No one can worry you better, angry, happy or any other emotion that others desire to afflict you with. Only you can determine the beauty of any Now Moment.

Feel this Present Moment, for it is the only one you have.

Be your own creation and do not allow others to infect their egoic natures on you, for they are on their own journey as well. If you truly can let people say what they must to you and simply say, “Thank you” and then say “that is your journey to think as much and it really is none of my business what you think of mine but I appreciate you for who you are.”

This will always stop the conversation for their really is nowhere else for them to go from there. The key here is to mean it with a sincere heart for you do recognize that their journey is what it is as is yours.

In the end, it really does come down to the fact that what others think of you is, indeed, none of your business…ever!

Zombies Everywhere! 3 Ways to Stop Being One

It seems as if zombies are all the rage these days. Well, i guess we are over the fascination with vampires and werewolves, but really, the zombie problem will never go away, will it?

Did you know that the US government actually has a zombie policy in place these days? Yes, indeedy, the CDC has a page up here and while they say it is tongue-in-cheek, the US government doesn’t really have a sense of humor, so i have got to believe that they are up to no good when it comes to zombies.

But the bigger problem, other than an actual zombie attack, is the way we go about our lives as if we too, are, zombies, just feeding ourselves in a generally mindless fashion without a thought on how we are to become the expansive and creative creatures the universe has planned for us.

Think about it; we get up, we go to work or whatever, we take our scheduled lunches and breaks. We then trudge through the night-time ritual with family and friends and plan for some, hopefully, extracurricular activity on the weekend.

Good golly, Miss Molly…Stop the insanity!

It is time to change things up here and quite living like you are a zombie just feeding on whatever sucker happens into your realm. Start looking at life as a beautiful creation with endless possibilities.

3 Ways to De-Zombify Your Life

Way 1: Look at What You Bring to the Table

Ok, not other humans to eat here, but, seriously, what is it that gets your motor running? What is it about you that you can use to make the world a better place to live for others. It is all about how we serve others and not the mindless pursuit of our own self interest constantly.

It is that God-given part of you that makes you special that needs to become the dominant force in your life. Whatever it is, do that one thing well.

Way 2: Stop Living in What You Think is Expected

Whatever you do, shake things up to a degree. It is very easy to get lost in patterns in your life but maybe it is time to become a bit unpredictable. Take a different way to work. Heck, take a day off and take someone you care about somewhere for a day completely in the spur of the moment. Life is too short to become so stagnated that you can’t seem to see past your daily routine.

Get involved in some situation that takes you out of your comfort zone. Volunteer somewhere. Help someone expecting nothing in return. Do something. Make your life a living testament to the specialness that is your destiny.

Way 3: Live in a Different Mindset that requires You to Stretch Your Preconceived Notions of Time and Space

This one will require that you see outside your reality a bit in that, you need to try to understand the Universal Way. Now, before you say, “This weird thinking is not for me.” That is exactly the point.

We live in a connected universe and it is time that you see it as such. Everything has a connection and it is time that you live as if you understood at some level, even if your ego is telling you differently, that we are all in this together. See all as creatures of love and you, as the giver of a new radiance that is love and respect for all.

Your mind can conceive of a tremendous new reality if you just allow it to be. Don’t get caught in patterns of sameness that cause you to not see the Universe as a place that is expansive and holds no limits on you.

Be bigger than you think is possible. You owe it to yourself.

Go and live for the Universe but awaits your involvement. Quit being a zombie.

The Joy is in The Journey of Abundance: 3 Ways to Bring Back Joy

It is funny how most seem to look at abundance, be it financial or abundance of the mind, body or spirit, as this drudgery of existence. Especially when it comes to the financial abundance, as it plays such a role in our daily existence, abundance seems to be not so much a life style but a game of some sorts that is won or lost on a daily basis.

It is as if we are keeping constant score when it comes to abundance, and whats worse, we measure ourselves against others as a way that we keep score.

Just the other day, i was talking with a client who struggle with the negativity of money, as i like to call it. Almost every session in which we meet, she gets to the discussion of money and usually with a very angry disposition. But just when i get her to get to release some of the anger, her ego then tells her that she is to measure herself and her situation once again when she makes the statement of how at least she has a roof over her head. That people are hungry somewhere and that she at least has food and shelter.

I just looked at her and said, “So what?”

Somewhat incredulous she began to defend her abundance that she had with almost a pitiful demeanor. You see, it is this overwhelming guilt that has somehow been instilled in us to put down any abundance whatsoever. It is as if we have to justify our abundance against others who may not seemingly have enough.

You see, anytime we compare, we judge. And in judgment, there is a closing of the allowing of abundance into our awareness. It is the ego at work to make sure you are humble, as taught, or that you make sure you keep all that you are entitled to. Either way, we shut off the truth of abundance in our own lives.

One of the most inane statements that i have struggled with is the one where someone looks at another and says, “There by the grace of God go I.”

Well, to say that statement is as much crap as one could imagine and to truly understand why is to finally have a moment of true release for your own abundance.

You see, i have found that what is really meant by that statement for most, and for the egoic mindset, is, “Look at that pitiful bastard. I am glad i am not them because i am way better off than that.” Essentially, what you are saying is that, when i look someone who seems on the outside not as well of as i am, then i am comparing myself to them and i am better in my situation. Yea for me.

What makes this statement so hideous is that you bring Grace into it and drag God as well. I mean, how could anyone say anything against that, right?

Well, it looks like someone did.

3 Ways to Bring Back Joy Into Abundance

Abundance of any kind should simply be a joyful journey and it is this mindset that takes into comparisons and makes it always a game of some kind. The journey then becomes like a reality TV program where we are constantly aligning ourselves with individuals that advance us or seem to be competing in some task that gives us immunity from being voted off the island.

So the journey then becomes to shift our mindset from a game aspect to more of an internal joy mindset.

Way 1: Understand That We are Not Dependent on Others for Our Abundance

This is one of the biggest hurdles to get over as most believe that abundance comes to them instead of flowing from them that then draws the appearances of abundance into their realm. Abundance is always an inside job and the more you understand yourself, the more abundance will flow to you with no struggle at all.

It is up to you to find that part of you that gives you the freedom to allow abundance to flow and to release yourself to it. The hard part is getting out of your own way and ceasing the ego’s influence into your life. Joy comes from this release that you are not dependent on others for all abundance comes from within.

It is a decision and a release that allows the abundance to become your reality.

Way 2: You Must Give Your Abundance Away

This is a hard one for most in that the very idea of giving away something that they “struggled for” is daunting. Remember, abundance is first a mindset and the joy from abundance comes from giving your joy away for others to see.

It is a principle in most financial planning programs that a certain amount of your financial abundance is to be given away. While it is usually put at a percentage, which is a start, true release of abundance could never truly be given a definitive percentage or amount in dollars. Giving yourself away is a truth of most spiritual disciplines and is a Universal concept that gives you a feeling of release in ways you can only experience for yourself.

A prime example of this is in the popular TV program, Hoarders. If you haven’t seen it, this program centers on souls who have a predisposition to hoarding things because they sense a comfort of some sorts. But at its core, it is a sickness and usually denigrates the person to lows that affect all around them.

The funny thing is that many are the same way with their abundance. They hoard it because of the fear of losing something, but, in reality, the more you give away, the more you gain.

It is a Universal Law.

Way 3: Understand That in Every Situation There is an Abundance Opportunity

We get caught up in money and most get so involved with making sure of not losing their money that they fail to see opportunity to be a soul of abundance. It is not always about the money but it is about the opportunity to be that soul of joy that seems to emote abundance in every way.

You see, it goes back to the mindset that is abundance. When you get out of your way when it comes abundance and allow it to just flow to you, there is no way that you can’t find a way to speak  with an abundant frame of mind. Life becomes opportunities to be joyful in abundance in the way you speak, the way you interact and in the way you are with your money.

In the end, money will never be how you are remembered. It will always be the joy you brought into the lives of others.

Money comes and goes, joy is eternal.

The Lower Consciousness of Doubt and Worry Within Abundance – 3 Ways to Look Forward

Living in abundance is truly living in a state of mind that you are indeed blessed souls that are living as the Universe has so designed you. Living in the way of abundance means that you truly divest yourself from certain though patterns that impeded your progress towards the very journey of life within abundance.

Worry and Doubt are two lower consciousness aspects of our beings that keep us from living a life of truth in abundance and must be dealt with or else we shall never truly embrace our abundant selves.

But while most understand the core of worry and doubt and how they can become so ingrained within us, it is the consciousness factor that seems to bind and hold them there. Worry and doubt are so ingrained that they are, in a way, seen as almost positive aspects of who we are.

Worry and doubt seem to be a way of life and it has been said of those who do not seem to display those traits, that they are almost super-human or have become enlightened.

Isn’t that the point?

We all seek, or should be seeking, that state of enlightenment that truly takes us away from that place within us where worry and doubt are a way of life. We should be seeking a higher consciousness.

3 Ways to Begin the Transformation Away From Worry and Doubt

The fact that so many seem to know that someone who possesses the freedom from worry and doubt are of a higher consciousness, seems to indicate that we are self-aware enough to understand the states of lower and upper consciousness to begin with and that worry and doubt do indeed inhabit that lower aspect of our nature.

Way 1: Understand the Nature of Worry and Doubt as it Relates to Consciousness

I have written post after post about the very nature of worry and how it can take you a very dark place in the soul, but i desire that you understand the nature of doubt and worry from a standpoint of a consciousnesses aspect.

In the book Power vs. Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior, there’s a hierarchy of levels of human consciousness that are simply designated by the emotions that are indicated as words alone. Each step is a higher level of consciousness beginning with the lower level of shame and then, guilt and continuing onward to apathy, grief, fear (worry), desire, anger, pride, courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, peace, and finally, enlightenment.

Courage is the tipping point, so to speak, as from there your levels of consciousness become of a more enlightened state.

Worry and doubt are woven within the words shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger and pride and while they are often times encouraged, they do not advance us into a higher level of consciousness in any way. The more you know how they hold you back the better of a chance you have of advancing into a higher state of consciousness.

Way 2: Worry and Doubt Are Merely Indicators of a Larger Condition

Now that you understand the levels of consciousness and that worry and doubt are within the lower levels that keep you in a place that most choose not to be, it is time to understand the very nature of what worry and doubt point to.

You see, there is a component here called the ego that has its ever-increasing tentacles into all aspects of your life. Worry and doubt, collectively, or individually, are the egos way to keep you in a constant state of lower-level thinking. The ego knows that as long as you are there, you must depend on it to control your existence, for you see, the higher levels need not the ego or its influence.

The best way is to always ask the questions as to what worry and doubt are pointing to. There is a condition within that is at the heart of worry and doubt and if you break the conditions down to manageable pieces or thoughts, you can begin to eradicate the need for worry and doubt.

The key here is to be honest and don’t allow worry and doubt to be the end-all-to-beat-all emotions for if you get lost in the emotions alone, then the conditions get obscured.

Deal with the conditions and leave the worry and doubt aside. You can only do what you can do, so do it and move on.

Way 3: Just Decide Against Worry and Doubt

At this core, this sounds very pie-in-the-sky in that we have been conditioned to be creatures that must worry and doubt. We are to become these cynical creatures that just expect the worse and it usually happens.

However we are not designed this way. If you make a decision that worry and doubt really have no place in your existence, you then become like the story of the monk in the river.

A monk had lost his footing in a stream and was caught in the current. Instead of struggling, he simply allowed himself to be carried with no struggle. As he was coming to a peaceful place within the stream, two farmers happen to see him and, fearing he was dead, gently began to approach him.

They were startled as he popped from the water and he began to make his way to the bank smiling as he passed them. He turned to the two farmers as he climbed to the bank of the stream and said, “It is not about the way you travel, but in the struggle you release to get to your journeys end.”

Worry and doubt are those struggles that must be released to allow your journey to unfold into a higher level of consciousness. Decide not to allow them and the journey begins.

In life, there are choices we must make and to allow the ego to control you in the form of worry and doubt is to deny the Universal Stream within us all.

You are a better traveler than that.

3 Ways To Begin To Understand How To Fully Live In Abundance

When most think of abundance, of course, the natural tendency is to think in monetary ways as it seems that financially, that is the way of the world.

Unfortunately, in the process of this limiting thinking, comes an actual lack of abundance. For it is when we limit ourselves in the fullness of an abundant life, we actually look for ways to not be abundant. You could say, it was our lack attitude, then, that is actually causing our disconnect from the abundant way.

Now, this is an area that most seem to acknowledge within their awareness, but, for whatever reason, seem to believe they are not worthy of.

Let me explain it in this way and for a moment, keep the monetary thinking clear form your thinking, even though the images are obviously of a monetary nature.

We all live in a mansion that is the way we have been designed to live. This mansion is not ostentatious, but, instead, impeccably kept and surrounded by beautiful acreage that is manicured and reflective of our true nature.

We are completely at home here, but we get bored or all of a sudden feel that we need some excitement of some kind. We then leave our mansion and venture out into the world to explore. In the process of the exploration, we attract ourselves to a rather unsavory element that seem to follow us back to the mansion at some point.

They invade our mansion as we have allowed them to do and attack us where we feel safe. We then no longer feel worthy of the mansion and then live in the expectation that only the unsavory element is all we are destined for.

Finally, we come to understand the significance of the mansion and what it represents and decide to take a stand against the gang that is surrounding us. When we finally stand up to them, it is the very nature of the standing up to them that makes them leave. We simply go out to meet them and, by doing so, we dissolve them and they leave.

3 Ways to Begin to Fully Live in Abundance

We accept our inheritance as creatures of abundance and we allow ourselves to become that which is already ours.

Do you see my point here?

Way 1: First Understand That You Are Naturally Abundant Creatures

Most operate from a place that they must crawl and scratch their way to the top of some magical hill called “Abundance”. That we are, at the core, worthless creatures that are fortunate, at best, to ‘luck into’ some sort of abundant life. That we get some sort of break and are able to get abundance.

The truth is that we are already living in this perpetual state as that is how we have been designed. That we have allowed various gangs of thugs to somehow give us an impression that we are not worthy of it is egoic in nature. The ego will always tell you that everyone is out to get you and that what ever you crawl and scratch for is yours to keep.

So abundance, then, become this trophy, of sorts. As soon as we think we get it, we then go about seeking how not to lose it.

The beautiful mansion, then, that is open to all, becomes walled up by a huge wall with barbed wire and guard dogs to make sure we don’t lose that which everyone is out to take.

Understand that it is the exact opposite. We are given all abundance within ourselves in all ways and then it is the ego and life that seeks to turn it into some sort of treasure that must be guarded for fear of loss.

Way 2: Know You Are Worthy

This is probably the biggest way the ego uses to keep its all-consuming control over you.

You are not worthy, the ego will tell you. You have to claw your way to the top and you have to earn respect and when you are so very abundant, people will respect you for what you have become, for the hard work you have put into getting where you are.

But what happens if your ‘hard work’ doesn’t pay off and who is the arbiter of the level of success that is to determine this abundance that has been achieved?

It all comes down to your feeling of worth.

Think about it. So often we see this very worth factor in relationships. It seems that it is our own worthiness factor that determines if we are successful within the relationship. I have often heard clients tell me that they are not worthy of a certain relationship for this or that reason. That worthiness, then, can be traced to other facets of their life. Many times when some one desires that a parent feel proud of them, it is that they are feeling an unworthiness that must me validated by someone they look up to.

When i watch reality shows, often times a contestant will say that they are seeking some one to be proud of them and that is why they are doing it to an extent.

To be validated, to be worthy, to be abundant…they all go hand-in-hand. Know you are already worthy as you are here to fulfill a purpose in life. You are already abundant, and even if your bank account doesn’t reflect a level that you may desire at this moment, know that it is not reflective of your overall abundance, for you have already been given abundance.

Way 3: Release Yourself to Your Natural Abundance

This is one of the hardest aspects that must be understood about abundance. Since the ego and society tells us that it is a struggle to achieve, that for some reason abundance is like a big pie and that you must do what you must to get you slice before it is all gone.

Releasing into abundance, then, is not natural because the ego will tell us that ‘if we snooze, we lose,’ right? We have to get it before someone else takes it from us.

From a financial standpoint, it can be said as Sophie Tucker, a famous actress at the beginning of the 20th Century, said, “I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor. Believe me, honey, rich is better.”

Yes, we all have a desire to be “rich” but, again, many times it is a societal pressure to have or to accumulate a certain magical number that means we have arrived at the doorstep of abundance, but really, it is the freedom we are seeking that is the very nature of financial abundance.

Abundance, then, really becomes a state of mind and a sense of worthiness and at the core of it all, is a release into that state of mind that is all abundance. When we release ourselves into that thought of a natural state of abundance, then you will find that the abundance we so often have clawed for becomes a natural state of being.

But you must release, let go and flow. For therein lies the heart of living in the natural abundance that is yours for the asking.
