The 3 Components of Living the Truth of Financial Abundance

We are forever caught in an attitude of being trapped between the emotions of what the financial aspect of abundance does to us with what we are taught, what we have experienced and what we have felt within the emotions of any sort of Financial Abundance.

There is a war currently against those who have money, therefore giving the impression that money is somehow this evil entity and even the very expression of the belief of money has been misquoted in various scriptures.

It is talked about money being the root of all evil, when that was never actually said of it. It was the LOVE of money, or what ever is denoted as riches, that is designated as such. The concept here is that anytime you allow the ego to determine a worth of yourself, another human being or of a circumstance and you place a high value on it as to the perceived value it is in modern day designations, then your love for the concept of money has replaced your abundance attitude in general.

It comes down to when you love the power or the influence that a money designation brings, you have lost the concept of real abundance. The truth is that money is a tool and its value is based purely on the value we bring to it through our own experience.

Several years ago, there was a movie starring Will Smith, called, “I AM Legend”. It was a typical zombie-like movie where humanity is wiped out by a virus and now it is all about survival. One scene that illustrates my point about money was when Smith’s character enters a bank vault and on the floor of the vault is millions of dollars in cash. The cash, once a testament to influence and power, is now nothing more than meaningless paper that means nothing to anyone.

3 Components of Financial Abundance

The point here is that you need to get out of your own head when it comes to the financial abundance that may have eluded you to this point and become abundant in all ways. To thine own self be true when it comes to the truth of financial abundance within you.

Money is just a way to keep score, nothing more. The sooner you believe that it is part of the whole concept of abundance, then it will no longer be something just out of your seeming reach.

Component 1: Belief

There is a real lack attitude here when it comes to believing in your worth to actually become financially abundant. So many inane associations and teachings have prevailed against the overall attitude about money, but none more vacuous than the idea that there is a pie graph of money, that if some “rich guy” has a bunch, then there is less for you.

Incredible. Your ability to obtain financial abundance is no way dependent on what some one else does and is just a way the ego works against you to tell you that you are a victim for some reason, that society is conspiring against you to keep you down.

It is your belief, and yours alone, that gives you the impetus to achieve any level of financial abundance you desire. Don’t get lost in numbers, but instead focus on the abundance of abundance itself. Believe in yourself and your Higher Consciousness that is always at work within you.

Ultimately, it is all about the service you bring that allows abundance into your realm. Be better than any number that you assign yourself as to some perceived value financially. Believe a better you and abundance will beat a path to your door.

Component 2: Trust

This component takes the cynicism out of your rear view mirror and truly allows you to support the Belief that is Component 1. When you trust yourself to be true to who you are and you trust the Universe to provide because of that truth, there is a release factor that must then take over your very being.

Most trust with what i call a “one eye open” approach. Always expecting the other shoe to fall, or even believing that because something good happens, then something bad must be right around the corner.

The most famous of all statements and the way the ego keeps you off of this trust aspect is the “what if” statements. I had a client tell me that they did trust but what if this happens or what if that happens, then what? Then all of the trust is gone, right?

Trust is always a Now Moment experience. Trust is knowing that regardless of what transpires, the core of who you are could never be shaken. People and events will never work out as you may have expected, but if you have the trust in who you are in an given situation then you shall always be truth to your self.

Component 3: Listen

This is a dynamic that most get lost in, especially with the distractions of modern day society. Listening these days means music, TV, movies, social media and what ever else takes you from the listening that must be done in Harmony with Component 1 and 2.

The listening that must be a vital part of the financial abundance that you desire is the listening to your inner self.

The listening to that little voice inside of you to be still in moments that you think you should speak.

Listening to the silence of the day that calls you to release yourself to it.

Listening to those around you in a way of being genuinely vested in what and who they are as part of the human experience, for in the mere emotion often that accompanies listening you will find truths that could give you new insights into a financial path that may have eluded you.

There is an old proverb that says that God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason; Listen twice as much as you speak. This goes to listening to your inner self as well. If you are always berating yourself and never just taking the time to listen in silence, then you are not giving the Universe an opportunity to speak.

Listen and you will find your way, but allow the truth to always be in your thoughts and actions as a result. Financial Abundance is a tool to finding your real truth, just don’t get caught up in the numbers for behind every number there is an emotion that precedes it.

Believe, Trust and Listen and the way to Financial Abundance is filled with clarity. You will attract the Financial Abundance you desire by the Universal Law of Attraction into your life.

Being In The Flow of Life: 3 Ways to Embrace the Beginning of Flow Within

Do you find yourself often going through the routines of life with no concern for the actual essence of all that surrounds you?

Does anything that happens ‘out of the ordinary’ throw you for a loop and gives you an excuse to have a bad day?

Does your flow seem more like a muddy pool of water that has a filmy substance covering it with a gentle aroma that seems slightly unpleasant to the senses?

Flow. Everyone talks of it. Most embrace it as a way, or as a desire, as a way to live their lives. The truth, however, is crouched in a security mindset that leaves nothing for flow at all in your life.

Life, then, becomes nothing more than for an accumulation for the shinny things that somehow, then, constitute a way to make life exciting. Be it the latest electronic gadget or the immersion into the latest sports team that we seem to desire to live vicariously through or some television program that diverts us from any sense of flow.

Now, i am not being a ‘you kids, get off of my lawn’ here, i assure you. I love great movies and tv that entertains. However, sometimes, when you fill you mind with all of the trivialities of life and wonder why a sense of flow is interrupted, you have to begin to take notice.

Flow Begins With the Questions We Ask

The question then becomes one not so much of the external, but one of the internal and the place the soul’s growth is within your life. Do you take care of the internal in places that only silence and reflection can truly take you? Do you release yourself to a higher level of living in that you are mindful of the Universal Way of life for all of creation? Do you truly release yourself and your ego long enough in any given period of time to truly care about life or are you so invested in your own trials and tribulations that life becomes a one-dimensional look from only your perspective.

Essentially, i am asking you if you see beyond yourself and actually enjoy what you see?

3 Ways to Embrace the Beginning of Flow Within

It is funny how most expect struggle and desperately seek a release of that struggle in terms of just being in the flow. It seems as if they so enjoy the essence of the struggle that flow then becomes a place or a condition of circumstances of things and people. Yes, these things may be part of the enjoyment of flow, but they are not flow that comes from within.

Way 1: Be Willing to Understand that Flow is Always an Inside Job

A penny on the track will derail a train. Well, that is what i thought when i was a kid. I was once walking along side of some railroad tracks with some friends when i was a kid and found a series of about ten mishapped pennys along a certain stretch of track. As i picked them up, one of my friends excitedly asked if some one was trying to derail a train. I looked at him as he told the story of derailing a train by putting a penny on the track and how he had heard about it from a cousin.

I still laugh at the story and how excited that made my friend at the time. That a tiny little copper piece could actually derail a huge, heavy train. But, in retrospect, is it any different than what happens to us on a daily basis? A small little change in our daily routine can cause us to ‘go off the rails’ in such a way that everyone around us suffers in the process,

Flow, then, begins with that place within that understands that you are the train and no penny can derail you.

Way 2: Understand that Circumstances Don’t Define You

In the great poem by Rudyard Kipling, “If”, he talks about the virtue of keeping your head when he penned, “If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you” and goes on to illustrate that circumstances should never rule the day.

In the final verse, he talks of being the same to all when he wrote, “If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you…Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it.”

There is no circumstance that should define you. There is an old saying that says ‘that it is not so much what happens to you, but how you react to it that counts’, is so very true. It is always about your reactions and the way you are in peace with the moments.

Way 3: Be Willing to Release Judgement of Situations and People

One of the greatest killers of flow in one’s life is the judgement in all situations and the people you deal with. Judgement is life the eternal water on the flame of life that seeks to snuff out flow in allowing life to manifest within you all that your heart desires. When you judge situations and people and make assumptions based on those judgements, you are damming up any chance for flow to become your existence.

When you simply release any preconceived notions of people, groups and situations in general, you allow flow to become your very existence, you begin the process of truly living in the flow.

The old expression, ‘Before criticizing a man, walk a mile in his shoes.” applies here and, while the ego may persuade you to live in these judgements, or life experiences as it may be called, instead, allow new experiences to become your norm.

Allow the flow of life to envelop you and give you a new perspective, a new appreciation for the excellence of the journey of life for, therein, lies the heart of flow and of living in truth.

Hope, Lack and the Ego; 3 Ways to Become a Creator in Hope

When i was a young lad and looking to be the ‘star of the show’, i imagined what it would be like to be at the front of the stage as a leading man in the school musical. I hoped that i would be great for the part and that i would be fantastic as the lead. I hoped for a very cool future because i knew i was up for the challenge as i set my sights on trying out.

Who could ever argue about the very nature of Hope and the beauty within the very word of a future filled with possibilities, right?

The challenge for me was that at the time when the show was being cast, i was not even remotely ‘right’ for the part. I was talented, yes, as i had a few acting stints under my belt, more than most who were trying out for the lead, but i was yet to discover this whole thing called ‘looking the part’ that i had not fully grasp at that point in my fledgling career. I was getting to be a pretty good actor for a young high school student, yes, but i had not the looks for certain parts. Those were just the facts.

Even in our modern society, we seem to have this entitlement concept, regardless of whether or not we are ‘right for the part’. We seem to believe that because we hoped it to be, that our ego said  because we hoped as much, we are somehow entitled to that in which we hoped for.

You see, there seems to be a side of hope that is not so optimistic at its core. The ego swoops in and under the guise of advancing you into the future in a ‘hopeful’ manner, the ego takes full control of hope and uses it as a weapon against yourself.

One way, of course is when things don’t go as ‘hoped for”. The ego keeps you in a state of scarcity and lack by making you hopeful of something, but telling you ‘not to get your hopes up’ at the same time.

Have you been there?

It is the same attitude of lack as discussed in the previous post on Lack and the Ego. Essentially, at its core, it is when you say statements such as, “i am hopeful, but i am waiting for the other shoe to fall.” or ‘When something good happens, that means something bad must be right around the corner.” Statements such as these are the ego’s attempt to keep you in a constant state of hoping but not expecting; two conditions diametrically opposed to one another.

But it is as if we are being led to this dark side of hope. Hope, then, becomes, characterized by waiting for other people or events to change so that we can be happy or get what we want. In this respect, hope is like the dark side of positive thinking. Insidious in nature, yet always putting on a positive face. It is the way the ego keeps you in check and under the thumb of its ever-watchful eye.

You see, there are two kinds of hope. The hope that was just spelled out, a darker side of being ‘so-called’ positive, and the way hope is actually to be lived, as a creator.

The true essence of hope, then, is as a producer. True hope produces the action steps that enable the hope to become manifest in your life. When your hope is based in an ever-changing future of individuals and circumstances, it can quickly turn to hopelessness and to the turning to the ego for ‘peace of mind’, in which there never is.

When directing a show, i would never pass out scrips and say, ‘I hope when Opening Night comes we all know all our parts.’ and never rehearse in the meantime. No, we would produce the hopeful outcome of Opening Night in our Present Moment rehearsals where life, the play, happened.

The best way to look at it then is that Hope becomes your future reality when action meets opportunity. All happens in the Now Moments of life.

3 Ways to Become a Hope Producer

Step 1: Don’t Play the Waiting Game.

Examine your current hopes. Are you waiting for some action from some future event or person to manifest to make your hope a reality? The dictionary defines hope as, “the desire for something to happen while expecting or being confident that it will come true”. This is the waiting game that the ego uses so adeptly at securing a foothold in your life.

We are conditioned to wait and it is in that conditional waiting that the hopefulness then becomes a darkness of the soul.

Step 2: Look at Hope as a Way to Produce Creative Now Moments.

Hope is an action based thriller that you write in every Now Moment. Hope is the way you create excellence in though, word, mind and deed and the only way to truly look upon the gift of hope is to become the creator of hope within.

You create the action plan for hope and are the one guiding it.

Does hope depend on others and life in general? Yes, to a degree, but it is all from a Law of Attraction state of mind. When you are a creator, a producer of hope, you create the action steps in this Now Moment alone. Don’t get caught in the trap of always waiting for some ‘future’ event for there is no future that you can put your hand upon. There is only this Now Moment, where all hope creates its joy. The Law of Attraction, then, manifests the creative action steps that creates substance to your hopes.

Step 3. An Attitude of Gratitude for All Now Moments Creates Joy in Hope

This is one of the very crucial elements of living and of the very art of hope. Your attitude must foster a sense of hopefulness in every circumstance. Again, hope is not to be confused with mindless Positive Thinking as that is merely a cover, not an action. True Positive Thinking is a way of life and the very way you live your life.

Essentially, Positive Thinking is an Attitude of Gratitude in action in every Now Moment.

This is only the beginning of the way to become a producer and creator of hope, but a true beginning to becoming a true creature of hope. Don’t allow ego to tarnish that which gives your Now Moments an expectation of greatness.

Examine, Create and do so with an Attitude of Gratitude, for herein lies the heart of hope.

Remember to Be Excellent and Expect the Best.

Anger and Anxiety; 3 Reasons to Rid Yourself of Both

“Anybody can become angry, that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way – that is not within everybody’s power and is not easy.”

Aristotle

Anger seems to be invading our very existence in record waves as we recoil in horror at the inhumanity done to one another in these seemingly enlightened days.

In my posts on enlightenment, i broached the subject on the premise that there was a reasonable amount of clarity of intent when it came to approaching a sense of enlightenment.

The displacement of anger was one of those assumptions. But as i approached anxiety in a previous post and started to look at the ways that anxiety was a factor to keeping many from feeling a sense of worth at getting to that point of enlightenment, i discovered that anger is a very real barrier to getting on with the way of love in your life.

Anger, and all of its nasty little tentacles, is keeping us from progressing as humans and as a society-at-large. Anger is at the very root of many of our inabilities to expand, as is the nature of the universe.

I look back on my own journey and i truly understand the nature of anger, although i have not struggled with it so deeply as to impede my progress and growth. But, that being said, i had to look within on my journey to see the nature of angers effects on my own life.

As is quoted by Abraham Maslow, “Whereas the average individuals “often have not the slightest idea of what they are, of what they want, of what their own opinions are,” self-actualizing individuals have “superior awareness of their own impulses, desires, opinions, and subjective reactions in general.”

Essentially, the beginning of dispelling of the various roots that anger feeds, means the look within.

The things that are so devious about anger is that it often manifest in such unlikely ways. Oh, would it not be nice if it were all so blatant as to have someone just “go off”, as the old saying goes? It is almost easier to deal with as usually the reasons for the anger seemingly are right in front of us.

But the insidiousness of anger is usually not that subtle and, to top it off, it is used as an effective weapon, often under the guise of love.

3 Reasons to Rid Yourself of Anger and Anxiety

First, the very poison of anger and anxiety is You to You.

Mark Twain said, “Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.”

The reason we must eradicate anger, and i am not talking of righteous anger as even Jesus had that, is to be able to become that which the Creator has destined for us all. I’m speaking of the anger that manifest in your daily life more frequently than not, as an attitude of dis-gratitude. It is the general malaise, the feeling of general discomfort or uneasiness, that one takes into life affecting all that they encounter.

Have you not experienced this yourself in a party situation? People who are “bubbly” draw people to them, right? I am speaking of a quiet confidence here, not a fake party persona that is put on to impress. Anger is indeed the acid that poisons the vessel.

Second, Anger stops you from moving forward, for it is nothing but a fearful look at the future.

I have seen this manifest in various ways, but anger seems to look for ways to always to be insulted. Generally, an angry person will find a way to continue to be angry and thereby making the future Now Moments be a place of fearful anticipation.

Third, the Past continues to be Ever-Present.

Anger is that place that ties you to a person, place or event that keeps you in the past mentally and spiritually. It is almost as if you refuse to let go for fear that the anger is the only thing keeping you grounded, for as insane a reason as that appears. Anger, then, becomes that part of you that is your constant companion.

But to move into this Present Moment is to live not in the anger of the past, but of the experience that it fostered within that will move you forward in a positive way.

In the next posts, we will look at the ways that anger manifest and ways to get to the real root of the anger within. but for now, reflect and allow yourself to become greater than the anger within, for the vessel that is you deserves to be free of the poison of anger.

Enlightened Souls And The Enlightened Journey

Enlightenment is one of those concepts that seems to be a place that many seem to venture carefully. I mean, what is it anyway? Always the image of Buddha comes to mind, meditation and other things “those” people do, but not “average” people, right?

I’ve used humor in my life as a way of shelter me from the storms of life and to get close to people so as to reach into their souls wherein lies enlightenment.

What do i mean? Well, as an actor, i loved comical roles, for one, i seemed pretty good at them because of the very reason that depth of soul is more compelling in making comedy work that drama. When i started directing, It never failed that I would have a lot of people try our for comedic plays because people thought they were more attuned to doing comedic roles. I mean who doesn’t want to laugh, right, and who doesn’t want to make people laugh. It is a way to connect.

But you see, comedy, the best comedy, has a soul about it that really reaches to enlightenment. Think about your favorite comedians. The ones that really make you laugh are the ones that make you think as well. They are, in a sense, enlightened and yet, they understand that they must use comedy to portray that aspect of themselves that thinks on a deeper level, that part of them that really speaks to the human condition.

What, then, is enlightenment?

It is the state of being enlightened, essentially, the attainment of spiritual knowledge or insight. Here is where many fall down. The mere word “Spiritual” in our society elicits such strong emotions, but at the core of spiritual pursuits are seldom a religious dogma. Instead, it is the very act of seeing and desiring to become a vision larger than your ego desires you to be.

Enlightenment, then, is that perennial state of growth and expansion. You should be desiring this state as you journey from this Present Moment into the next.

There is an old sales expression that goes, “When you are green you are growing, when you are ripe you are rotten.” The way it was explained to me by a sales mentor i once had was that many sales people get to a point where they think they have seen every sales situation there is They seem to know everything about sales and people in general. “Usually,” he would tell me, “these people get to a point that they stagnate and become disillusioned with the joy of sales. They blame everyone who they come into contact with, but seldom look at the real reason in the mirror.”

What he was telling me was that they thought they had become enlightened when it came to their profession, but, in reality, they had stopped growing, learning, and appreciating the journey.

They had become “ripe.”

This is a journey you must take, however. Don’t become “ripe” in your situation. Don’t allow the ego to tell you that it has everything under control; that you should just continue on the way you have been, in the rut that seems well traveled, but safe.

Let us journey together as we go deeper into enlightenment and joy, for they are indeed synonymous. In this series of posts, we shall look at ways to become enlightened and live at an exceptional level for, therein, is where life begins and thrives.

Appreciation for the Mission in The Present Moment

Appreciation is the core value that manifest a Mission that truly reflects the very nature of the love of life. Appreciation is that beautiful nature that can’t be faked or manufactured, such as you see when Hollywood does with some Thanksgiving feast when a troubled family seemingly comes together and gives feigned appreciation.

For as far as i can remember, i was troubled at something at the way appreciation was portrayed along with the following season. Don’t get me wrong, it is grand to see people become Scrooges for if even for a brief season; the part where Scrooge is transformed, that is.

But only when i took my journey that has set me on my Mission to give people back themselves, did i really understand the depth of appreciation and what it actually does to the soul. It is my belief that at the heart of the very spiritual concept of faith is appreciation. It is appreciation that provides the prism for all of life. It is appreciation for life that we begin to see beyond ourselves.

It goes beyond the concepts of forced “thank yous” we all had to give when our aunt gave us the scarf we didn’t really like, or some other manifested reason appeared that we should be thankful for.

It is in the well-meaning actions of those who loved us that we were given such a skewed look at the very meaning of appreciation in our lives. So many times it comes off as a forced look at a guilt reaction of what someone has done for us. So the appreciation then becomes a bitter pill you swallow that has no meaning outside of the words you utter. Guilt becomes appreciation to the ego and resentment often nest deep within it.

I see it often times with the very act of gift giving where someone gives a gift, expects appreciation, which you have been taught to do, and then proceeds to tell you at some future time, that because they gave you a gift, that a certain action should now be manifest, be it love or some supposed show of love. The ego then drills down to the act of the forced appreciation that you did and begins to feed on the very act of appreciation as a ploy or ruse and bitterness begins to accumulate. Love and appreciation are often time so linked that one would believe that they must coexist together.

Yes and No. For you see, if you come from a place of love, appreciation is at the heart of everything you do, but appreciation must never demand love. Make sense?

This is one of the hardest values to really uncover, for most will tell you that appreciate this and that in their lives, but you can see that appreciation is not their core. To breech this with clients, i often get to the very act of gift giving and have found that most have had (or do) the “weapons of gifts”, as i like to call them, inflicted on them.

What i must first get most over is that a gift, defined in the dictionary as, “A thing given willingly to someone without payment.” is just that.

In the spiritual realm it is often why so many have a hard time with a gift of salvation, in that our ego knows that there are always strings attached, so there is nothing “freely given.” So getting people past that attitude and the very act of doing that to others as well, is the first hurdle. When you can get ego to release the assumptions of gifts, of giving and of the very nature of appreciation, then we can begin to give you back your life starting from that point.

Appreciation is the core value of the Mission for your life and for living from a place of love. Here is where we begin to master looking beyond yourself and seeing that life is indeed a Mission that you are involved in.

Let’s look at three ways to begin the process of Appreciation, but know that we have only touched the surface of having a true Attitude of Gratitude.

In my morning journal practice, i begin with “thank you thank you thank you” and i truly mean it. This is the act of preparation to receive from an attitude of being thankful for all within your life.

First, then, would be to prepare yourself by being thankful form the outset for EVERYTHING. Nothing must exist within your realm that is not appreciated.

In the movie, “A Wonderful Life”, George Bailey, played by Jimmy Stewart, has just discovered that he is back from being “non-existent” and is running down his little street of Bedford Falls. As he is doing so, appreciation for every aspect of his little town spews from his mouth. All of those places he took for granted, now had a new meaning and he appreciated everything for what it was to him. He now lived in an attitude of gratitude and in that light he saw his Mission for living and that he had been on a Mission without really understanding it.

Next, after you have truly given yourself over to appreciation of everything, there is an aspect of release that you must do. Forgiveness must now be your nature. First yourself, and, then, all other people, places and things that the ego has told you have wronged you in any way. This is a process, but one that must take place to move forward. Living free from here means you can now move beyond yourself to a Mission mindset.

Finally, in our simple three step appreciation appreciation manifestation, is to release worry, which is a task in and of itself that affects your Mission, the going beyond yourself to impact humanity.

In the next post we shall proceed form that point and deal with worry as it is a challenge that must have its own discussion.

The Mission of the Vision

Vision was discussed in relation to goals in the previous post as something to aspire to.

Briefly we discussed goals as merely a subset of the larger vision of a life with a purpose, a Mission for your eternal pursuits.

However, in this ego-driven culture, Mission is often left to those ‘starving artist” and those who dedicate their selves to helping those in need in some remote part of the world or in some place of dire need in our own country.

A Mission often seems to be left to politicians that supposedly have the social good in mind, which we usually discover is seldom the case. Even the very definition of Mission from the dictionary alludes to missions from a standpoint of political and humanitarian efforts.

Therein lies the disconnect.

When we look at Mission then in the eyes of a cynical world, and with an ego that is constantly looking out for your own interest, it seems that a Mission is not really something that everyone is involved in, or should be, for far too many have corrupted the very meaning of the word.

The eternal creator of the universe did not set us adrift to be at the whim of a society that cares not but, in the eternal scheme of it all, desires nothing more than people with vision to lead them into a new age of enlightenment.

Here is where the ego usually shuts the discussion down as Enlightenment, Vision and Missions are certainly not practical. The egoic mind desires only to keep you forever tied to the past and worried about the future in a way to keep you focused on self-preservation, there will certainly be no talk of a Mission outside of yourself, for that is the very act of acknowledging an eternal presence that has no place in the ego-centric mind. Mission stuff is “out there” and reality is nothing more than your failures of the past and of the future, which is always to be worried about.

Often the heartaches of the past, the ego will tell you, would not even allow you to think that YOU, of all people, could have a Mission that could impact the world. This is precisely why you should think of a Mission for your life. Yes, it is tied to Vision and the two are usually so interwoven that it seems to be a daunting task to even conceive of it.

The ego tells you that you are not worthy for greatness, that you cant change the world, that “out there” pursuits are best left to those who are rich, or are crafty or whatever else the ego tells you to disavow that need within divinely given to you to create. The ego is crafty as them all by telling you that until you get to a certain status, income or whatever, that this Mission stuff be best left to those who have the ability to do so.

In the theatre, there is a much heralded saying that says, “There are no small parts, only small actors.” Of course, it has been misused as a quote used to those who get small parts in a production who desired bigger roles, but the concept is not without merit. I learned that early on when i, too, desired a bigger part and got a smaller role. In a sense, it was that role that turned on a switch for me as i discovered the power of a smaller role and the truth about all parts of a production.

I even illustrated this point to a cast of actors during a production once. It seemed that they were being a bit disrespectful to the backstage crew, essentially being talent-snobs, as i would call them, and i set out to prove the dynamic of that saying. I told the actors that they would do the show at the rehearsal with the crew watching. As the show progressed, the actors struggled doing all of the things they took for granted that the crew did to make them look good.

It proved a point that those actors learned about appreciation for all who were involved in the show at every level.

There is even a larger lesson that came from that lesson, and that was appreciation for the Mission in general. The ego is such a controlling core concept that appreciation is lost for living in general. Life is a struggle, the ego tells you, and there is no way to appreciate EVERYTHING.

This is at the very core of your Mission. Appreciation for the journey and for the freedom to allow the Mission to become you.

In the next post, come back for the ways to manifest that within yourself and maybe you will find that your Mission has been in front of your eyes without your knowledge.
