About the 2012 Book Release of “Don’t Plan Your Future, Just Eat Your Cinnamon Biscuits”

I had been living this concept for years and, in my own crude way, trying to impart a sense of awareness about living in Now Moments to those I have consulted with in various capacities throughout the many Now Moments that have preceded.

Now Moments

I finally developed the “Now Moment” concept, although it is not new, per se, what is a new concept is that this Now Moment, always capitalized, is the moment you exist within. The Now Moments are the seeds of all living you have and will do contained within this element known as this Now Moment.

This moment now becomes all of what you were, are and will be and is given a place of reverence, if you will. It is the only one you have and, although you desire many more, it is all you know now so treat it as a precious gift and fill it will the joy that is each individual Now Moment.

You see, the past, what you were and have done, the present, this fabulous moment of time you exist in and the future, the time we do not know and no matter how we try to worry and control it, we cannot. The best we can do is to plant the seeds that are our future Now Moments and live accordingly today.

As I was developing the concept, and had been for months it seemed, I was sitting inside a local fast food restaurant for breakfast known for their award-winning biscuits, more importantly, their cinnamon biscuits.

A retired couple who I had become friends with during my morning writing sessions at the restaurant were hurrying around preparing for a visit by one of their children. Seeing that they were somewhat frazzled, I simply told them to “relax and don’t plan the future, but  just sit and eat their cinnamon biscuits.”

Twitter, Facebook and Google+, Oh My…

It dawned on me almost in a lightening flash that this was it; this was the way home in my coaching. I had to make it fun, meaningful and, in a world of Twitter, Facebook and Google+, it had to be short and concise to intrigue people to want to understand more about living in each Now Moment. Plus I had to incorporate the years of training and experience i had in the theatrical arts that would make an impact in the lives of others in a meaningful way.

So, “Don’t Plan YourFuture, Just Eat Your Cinnamon Biscuits” was born and seemed to be inspired by the very sentiment that I sought to develop, a quiet calm that gave me the inspiration for the clarity I needed.

Now Moments became a purpose, one that I danced around for years but had not defined as i deemed could make a difference in peoples lives when faced with the simplicity of the message in a world ever increasingly complex.

So, sit back and enjoy your cinnamon biscuits and let’s make this Now Moment fantastic as it is all we have, is it not?
